Lesieur and Family Enjoy the Holidays

The offseason has arrived for the D.C. Dragons – a little sooner than RW Guy Lesieur, would have liked, but he knew when he joined the team that they were a new expansion team and would need a year or two to ramp up and into the playoffs. So, without too much disappointment, Guy begins his offseason and what a way to start – with the Christmas holiday.

Guy is actually a pretty religious guy so Christmas for him is more about the birth of Christ than it is about decorating the tree, exchanging gifts, and singing Jingle Bells – though he enjoys all that as well. So, this means that the center of the holiday for Guy is the traditional midnight candlelight Christmas Eve service and then, a quieter service on Christmas morning. Guy is from a Huguenot family and so he worships at a Presbyterian church while playing hockey in the States.

But Christmas is also about family and Guy was very excited to learn that his parents and younger sister were all coming to D.C. for the holidays. They had a grand time singing carols in French, enjoying exquisite meals and just enjoying one another over a glass of wine sitting next to the fire in the hearth. Took some of the sting away of missing the playoffs.
