With Season Over, Landry II Hunting Pokémon

 

ALLENTOWN - With Thomas Landry II's locker in Halifax cleaned out, there was little else to do beyond returning home to Pennsylvania to see his family. Now, with the Saskatoon Wild having completed their dominant season by hoisting the Founder's Cup, the next item on the agenda is the Season 70 VHLM Dispersal Draft. However, at this point, that just means more waiting for Landry II. Fortunately, he has found a way to continue to pass time while he waits for the next big moment of his career: catching Pokémon.

 

No, you're not reading this wrong. As part of a ragtag group of VHL-affiliated members, Thomas Landry II, who is set to be a VHLM draftee later this week, has been spending time in the VHL Discord Channel catching Pokémon that randomly appear in it. Although these creatures do not actually bother anyone and have been isolated into an entirely separate channel, that has not stopped this group, which contains Landry II, Kris Rice, Gustav Mattias, Jeff Downey and Renomitsu, along with the sage advice of a drunk bird, from capturing them.

 

 

The absurdity of the situation includes goading the server, which they have lovingly dubbed, "Skynet," after the murderous AI from the Terminator film series, to spawn more of these Pokémon into the server for them to catch. There is seemingly no end in sight for these shenanigans. One can only hope that the upcoming drafts will create enough of a distraction to bring about an end to the madness.
