With speaking with Gavin Harris over the las week, I have come to a few conclusions. First of all his plus/minus is atrocious, He is tied for the league low with his teammate Aleksandra Olsen at minues twenty. Not a pretty sight for a kid who had high hopes when he stepped onto the ice for the Mississauga Hounds.  Just sitting down with him you can tell that early in this season it is taking a small toll on him. With visions of greatness Gavin Harris stepped on the ice and in true form for a rookie fell flat on his face. Tallying just one goal and one assist in eleven games for the two win, nine loss Mississauga Hounds. Production should be a on his mind if he wants to stick with this team and not find himself sitting in the press box.

The Mississauga Hounds have given up the most goals in the league through eleven games at sixty three. This reporter can not in his right mind solely blame the goaltending. If you have a player who has made it his sole purpose to be a stay at home defenseman on your team. You should expect some help in the back end of your ice.

Yet, Gavin Harris has a long way to progress in the VHLM. He is young, impressionable, and can be molded if handled right. He is second on the team in checks at twenty eight, trailing only his defense partner Aleksandra Olsen who leads the team with forty five.  In my opinion, Gavin Harris has potential but only time will tell if he can put it together. If his play continues down the trail it is heading, he may be playing in this league for awhile or yet out of the league before he knows what happened.
