David O'Quinn 115
This hasn't been the greatest rookie campaign for O'Quinn, but he's managed to stay in the positive and contribute in a minor fashion to the overall offensive production of the team. His growth has also slowed - nowhere near what it was in his rookie or sophomore VHLM season. (Note: Yeah, burnout happens. Trying my best, and i'm back in full force this week!) For what little he HAS contributed, it's likely been on defense. With a rather large amount of blocked shots by the rookie defenseman, in some capacity he has assisted the team to a surprising 5th place in the league. Infact - the NYA are only 5 points short of 3rd place. Whether or not the New York American's reach the playoffs or not - O'Quinn will be with them, chugging along, blocking shots, and attempting to be a high strung playmaking defenseman, even though as of yet, he has yet to show much potential in that area. Though interestingly, he has kept pace with the highly touted Edwin THE Encarnacion, with an equal amount of pts, and a rather high amount of shots blocked as previously mentioned. Now New York shoots for the starts - or specifically, the spot above Calgary, as home ice advantage is probably one of the last things New York can hope for this year.
