Eagles named to Team World

For the first time in his Career, Greg Eagles, was called up to represent Team World on the international stage.

 

" It's great to be called up and to represent your country " Eagles said " We have a very strong team and I think we can win gold. The GM has put together an all-star caliber team and I just don't think there is a better team out there"

Eagles started the first 5 games of the tournament and went 3-1-1 with a .912 save % and 2.56 GAA

 

" I could of definitely had some better games but in this tournament you are playing the best of the best, I got the team some wins and now it will be up to Johnson to get us the wins in the last 5 games"
 

Johnson went on to a 4-0-1 in his 5 games played with a .948 save % and a 1.58 GAA

 

" He played amazing to help the team and the GM will have a hard decision to see who will start in the playoffs. For me, its all about the team and getting that gold so I wouldn't be upset if Johnson get's the start"

GM John Frostbeard announces who will start for Team World.

"I am extremely happy by everyone on our team and I think we have all the tools to win it all and take home gold medals. Both Greg and Michael played fantastic hockey and it is truly tough decision for us but as of right now we are going to start Michael Johnson  and will see how the games will go with him in our net. Greg was wonderful but we have to go with the goalie who is hot and was outstanding these last 5 games!"
