Seattle, WA - The Seattle Bears have seen a slow start, out of the gate, as the team currently sits 10th in the standings of the 12 team league. While team defence has been the issue, there have been some standout offensive performers through the first dozen games, one of whom being an off-season acquisition in the form of ACL TEAR. Once a highly touted prospect, TEAR has thus far in his career failed to live up to that billing, with career highs of 26 goals and 50 points coming back in S68, he has amassed a lowly 30 goals and 60 points, combined, in the past 2 seasons. Picked up as a depth option just days before the start of this season, however, the now-veteran forward has seen the best start of his career, with 6 goals and 13 points, pacing him for a full-season total of 36 goals and 78 points, both of which would set new career highs, and put him in the conversation for the Funk Trophy as the league's Most Improved Player.

While it's still too early to speculate (I'll do so anyways), there are plenty of questions as to what is next for the journeyman winger, who is on his 5th team in as many seasons, and is a pending UFA. It is very likely that Seattle will look to move the winger by this season's deadline, should they continue to falter as the season unfolds. Any futures received would surely be looked at as free assets for the Bears, who paid only a pair of late picks in the S73 draft to acquire TEAR, who was looked at as a salary dump by the Riga Reign.
