The Seattle Bears have continued their rise in the standing to move into first in the league.  The bears are currently on a 3 game winning steak which propelled the team into first overall. The bears have turned Seattle into a fortress with a 13-3-3 record on home ice.

The past week of games has seen Ambrose Stark take the league lead in scoring moving up one spot.  He has a 2 point lead on Hunter Hearse Hemsley and leads the league in goals by 4 over Julius Freeman.  The bears offensive strategy would seem to be to shoot the puck as often as possible as they lead the VHL in shots with 1272 shots, 55 more than defending champs the Moscow Menace.   The bears Scott Greene and Guy LeGrande lead the league in shots while Ambrose Stark is a third bear in the top 10 shooters in the VHL ranking 9th. The rookie bears also continue to have strong seasons.  Ola Vikingstad is tied for first in rookie scoring with 25 points and teammate Uhtred sits in 6th with 21 points. The bears are getting a strong performance in goal with Ray Funk who is now second in wins.  Funk also seems to have a mean streak in him as he leads all goaltenders in PIMs with 8.
