The Ottawa Lynx is the undisputed best VHLM Team of the season.  The problem with that is we are now in the playoffs.  In professional sports, a team has to start over in the post-season and earn the title.  The Season 71 VHLM Playoffs started just like the regular season.  Ottawa swept Halifax in 4 games, no problem.  Round two against San Diego is proving to be more challenging.  The series is tied two apiece after four.

On paper, the Lynx could have swept San Diego already.  Ottawa has outshot San Diego in all four games, has had far fewer penalties, and outscored them by a score of 21-12.  The problem is Ottawa hasn't been converting on the powerplay and have lost two close one-goal games.  The Lynx are alternating between scoring eight goals and dominating or scoring a few and losing.  Experts predict a Lynx victory, but we are down to a best of three series now, and it could go either way
