Kamenov Journal Entry - So Damn Bored

 

 

To the amazing fans of the Mexico City Kings, first and foremost I want to write to you today about how I am feeling after finally completing my first and potentially only time in Mexico City. I have lots of time so here are some rambling thought I have today.

 

After coming out with a name change (need to update sig for that - i know).. but Viktor Kamenov is extremely bored right now. He had joined the Mexico City organization through the PBE Affiliation agreement and has had so far a good time around he league working out in the gym space the team has provided. How can you not feel amazing in Mexico City. However with what felt like an extremely late join and a quick exit with the Kings this now dragged out off season just feels so empty. It's not a wonder people could easily fall asleep during this time of isolation and sleep through the next season.

 

As a minor leaguer not in the playoffs there needs to be something more for us. We aren't allowed outside unless we are playing within the VHLm games so maybe call me crazy but what about something like a minor league all star game? We have a majors all star game which in my opinion I did not vote in it as I had no clue who anyone was and as a minor leaguer I had no interest in looking at them. They are the current and now. I am the future so I rather be focused on the future and most importantly my future. 

 

So what about my future am I more focused on? That is quite simple and that is my future VHLm team and where I will be going in that draft. I will be honest and state that I know for sure I am not good enough at this stage of my career to get called up to the major league teams now. So, why worry about them so much. I know at this rate I have only received one generic draft questionnaire from a major league team so maybe that goes to show maybe the lack of interest is two way. So, when we do not know when either of the drafts I will be in will be as nothing is officially posted about them. I am quite confused about where my future lies and what will happen. At this moment there is nothing enticing me to keep coming back to the gym besides being bored at home. We need a schedule, we need some different activity as sorry... what's happening now is boring. For a retention aspect why not let all minor league teams in  something new. 

 

So there you have it folks. That is how I am feeling at this very moment in an update to my long off season. Yes, I know technically it is not the off season in the league but getting eliminated so fast from playing contention and then just napping through not being able to enjoy the Mexican beaches because of the law of the land here as it's not an essential trip.
