Vote Brick for Slobo

Well the candidates for the Brett Slobodzian trophy have been announced as voting opened just a few days ago. To me it's a no brainer who everyone should be voting for. Brick Wahl was a critical member of this year's Phantoms which got to live through their best season on record so far. That success has a lot to do with Wahl as he stole quite a few games where we were outshot and should've honestly lost. The Wall this year was the most consistent goaltender in the VHL and ended his season with absolutely unreal numbers. He finished the season with a save percentage of .931 and was able to manage to get a GAA under 2.  Before Prague acquired him, Brick was pondering retirement and I think Wahl made the right decision to postpone that retirement since he got to put this team on his back and finished his career with a career year. 

 

Wahl has also been the perfect teammate since his arrival in Prague a couple of seasons ago and has been the soul of this team since he's been here. I think  @BladeMaiden brought some life out from all of his teammates and I partially blame Brick for laying down the foundation for our team culture here in Prague. We had several funny discussions as team and we'll all miss having you around as you were the life of the party. I'm sure even with all the HR complaints, Cinnamon Block will miss you and hopefully you'll at least score yourself a hug at your retirement party.
