LeBastard says: 'It's on me'; Rips Press For Being 'clowns'!

Angry Miami Marauders captain Andre LeBastard spoke out to the press following the VHLM expansion club's sixth loss in a row last night. 'Look, this is on me, I'm the captain here and I haven't been doing what I should to lead this club', he stated. 'It's unacceptable to me for this group to be in the middle of a six-game losing streak, I know we are an expansion club trying to do the best we can, but we need guys like me to show up for sixty minutes out there', he added. 'Some of you guys', he pointed at the assembled media, 'have been coming in here after the last couple of games laughing and joking around.' 'That's not acceptable. I know I haven't been at my best, but for f**k sake try having a little understanding and respect for the other guys in here.'

'The boys are working hard, we know it's not going to be easy, hell, we know we are going to struggle against some of the big clubs, but it sure doesn't help with you clowns coming in here and acting like it's some big joke.' 'We are all professionals in here, and we are trying to do our best for the club and the fans, if you guys can't respect that, then you can get the hell out of our room and don't come back.'

The tirade continued unabated for several more minutes, 'You guys happy now, you got your next story? "Miami player goes off the rails", hahaha, very funny. Well, to hell with you guys. I'll take the heat - I got big shoulders; if you can't come in here and realise that you have to have some respect and act accordingly, well f**k you!' 'The fans have more right to be angry than you morons: they paid to watch us, you guys get in for free, you bunch of losers!' 'They understand, you heard them cheering, despite our losing run.' 'You guys need to give your heads a shake.' 'You guys can run off and complain to the league, "hockey player swears at the press, press feeling hurt."

The vitriol kept coming, as LeBastard went on to say, 'Well, you can count on one finger how many f***s I give, here you go!', with that, LeBastard extended the middle digit on his right hand in a time-honoured indication of displeasure.

Miami Marauder club officials then quickly moved in to try to calm a visibly shaking Andre LeBastard down and move the assembled members of the press corps out of the locker room as quickly as possible, perhaps fearing league sanctions from the VHLM Commissioner for their overheated captains' remarkable postgame outburst:

Lebastard had a few more particularly choice words reserved for beat writer Ray Zore, whom LeBastard felt was one of the main culprits of disrespecting the Miami Marauders locker room, as the media representative was bumped and knocked to the ground in the ensuing scuffle.

Listen below and apologies for the poor audio quality, there was a lot happening in the room.
