Tagger 2,722
While the Calgary Wranglers as a team have been having a lot of success in front of goal (they current lead the league in goals scored), the rest of the teams scoring luck clearly hasn't been passed on to their Dominican defenseman Edwin THE Encarnacion. Encarnacion, who received votes for the Most Improved Player last season, scored two goals in his opening nine games but is currently on a horrible 27 game scoring slump and has a woeful 2.86% shooting percentage, which is the fifth lowest shooting percentage of all those who have scored a goal in the VHL this season. While those below him either lean towards a passing game (Valentino, Zyrok12, Dean Clarke) or have fallen victim to regression (Dissanayake), Encarnacion is a shoot-first player with 97 scoring. Hopefully, Encarnacion's shooting will see a vast improvement in the second half of the season to justify his recent contract extension.
