A big trade was announced that saw Smitty Longname come to Calgary in exchange for Stropko to try and push the Wranglers over the top for a cup. When all of that is really exciting, Latrell Mitchell is excited to get the chance to share a locker room and play alongside the legend that Smitty is. "He's probably the best defensemen of our time, I grew up watching him and now I get to play on the same team, it's unreal. I can only hope to do a fraction of what he has done in his career," says Mitchell. If he can take pointers and learn from the old timer who is going to retire at the end of the season, I could set Latrell up for a great career. Right now the focus is obviously to push for that cup but at the end of the day anything that can help Mitchell be a better defenesman at the end of the day is a good thing.
