So here's something interesting.

I am writing this article for no reason other than that I'll be able to claim it for my monthly affiliate check in the EFL. I've earned my weekly cap here this week, so this article is meaningless in the VHL world. Thanks to job pay, and the fact that I'm the press conference and trivia guy for Davos, I never even have any reason to make .com submissions, unless it's the offseason. This is the very first time I'm doing something in the VHL with the specific goal of picking up some sweet hot uncapped in a different league, instead of the other way around.

Until a few months ago, if sim league activity could be explained through guitar playing, me being Jerry Garcia here would be a pretty accurate analogy...but in other leagues, I was more of a Lil Wayne. I've picked up my EFL activity in recent times and found that I quite enjoy it over there as well. I claim affiliate welfare from the VHL each week for 6 and get the 3 that I need to cap by spitting out a sig for my player brand thread. I've even very recently been hired as an updater for a nice cap of 12 and have contributed to their recent donation drive as well as ours.

Here's what I'd like to ask the VHL, though, since I don't want this to be one of those waste-of-everyone's-time articles about how I'm writing words for TPE. I'd like to ask you this: which other sim leagues have you been a part of? What are some of your best memories and accomplishments outside of the VHL? And, if you had both the time and the motivation to do so, are there any leagues that you're not in right now that you'd be interested in joining? The link between VHL and its affiliates is stronger than one might think, and it's worth thinking about what we, as a community and as individuals, can do to advance and grow all sim leagues, including this one, through member crossover and sharing of ideas--a sort of "sim-biotic" relationship, if you will.

I've had a couple players in the SBA and never made it active out of the NCAA until my last player. Was drafted and the season was about to start (or we were a couple games in...dont remember) and then we know how that story goes. No PT affiliation = no me.

I'm currently in PBE and enjoy it as a secondary league because I can make a decent player doing the absolute minimum each week (basically a bunch of minor point tasks similar to a fan590) and maybe 1 or 2 long articles per season.

Sim leaguing is a lot of work! I just joined the EFL (got dragged there) and doing double duty is tough (triple duty because of two players in EFL!) Even IRL I like to follow one sport at a time, NHL in the winter and the AL in the summer. Barring some nuclear fallout with the VHL, this league will be my monogamous partner and I’ll flirt with the EFL whenever my coaches ping me.
