Houston Bulls RW Patrik Laine showed up to the birthday party of an 8-year-old Bulls fan. Laine said he saw the letter on social media and knew he would go as soon as he saw the letter. Laine even brought a gift for the young boy. The gift included his jersey with a signature on it, a card with some money and some of Laine's favourite candies from Finland. "I saw it on social media the other day and I knew I would make his day to have me be there when he wasn't expecting me to be there." Says Laine, when asked about his decision to go. "I love making special memories with the fans, especially little kids and I bet he won't be forgetting that day any time soon," Laine said that even though he may not be playing in Houston next season, he still wants to let Houston fans know that he appreciates them. Laine is set to be one of the players selected in both the VHLM Dispersal Draft and VHL Draft coming up in the next 2 weeks.
