Dark side

Helsinki was down 3-1 against Moscow, we managed to win game five, but then Moscow took home the next one and made their way through to the next round. For us, that meant the start of the off-season and break from hockey. It was a tough day, the high of winning game five changed to darkness after game six. We believed we had what it takes to at least push the series to game seven, but it was not our time to win I guess.

This ongoing break and off-season are not just like every other off-season, its going to be interesting times ahead with the expansion draft coming up. Quite a few of our older players won't be coming back next year due to retirements on top of that, so the Helsinki Titans of next year is going to look a lot different. That automatically brings new challenges, but I believe that we will see playoff hockey in Helsinki next season as well. The strength of our coaching and management combined with the returning players and the rookie players that will make the jump from juniors is going to guarantee an annoying Helsinki Titans team to play against. Nobody has any idea what to expect when they play against, that is going to be an advantage to us.

But now it's the time to rest, training camp starts when it starts, before that is the mentioned expansion draft and normal draft, hectic times.
