Eagles spent the last 2 weeks enjoying some time off from hockey and some much needed rest after a few long nights of partying after winning the championship. Now all the fun and games are over and its time for Eagles to get back to work and prepare for the upcoming season. This was the first time in his career that he took some time off and not went right back into training mode.

Eagles will be entering his final contract year with Riga and will need to prove that he still has what it takes if he wants to get his final contract in Riga or even somewhere else in Free Agency.

 

" Right now I need to focus on having a great season and not what will happen after this season" Eagles said " I would like to play my final season in Riga but if I don't perform this season they may not want to re-sign. I know im getting older and there are many younger options available. I just have to play my game and try to help Riga win another up"
