SweatyBeaver 132
“I do not know Canada well…” Vancouver Wolves right winger Gregg Stallion told security in the lobby of the Erik Nielsen Whitehorse International Airport. Somehow Stallion missed the plane to the prominent well known pacific city and had instead found himself in the middle of the Yukon. Reports say that Stallion first flew from Brussels, Belgium to Montreal, Canada. Stallion had not realized that Canada was bilingual and assumed that he had accidentally boarded a plan to France. Stallion stared at the flights board for a while and booked a plane to Toronto which he knew was in Canada. Stallion boarded the plane and was shocked that his flight from France to Canada only took an hour and a half. Stallion remarked that the Atlantic ocean was a lot smaller than he remembered as he flew over the St. Lawrence. Stallion assumed that global warming had been doing its thing and was sure to recycle his plastic water bottle after the flight. Stallion was relieved to finally been in Canada even though he had been in Canada all day. A worker at the airport recognized Stallion from the VHLM games and approached him excitedly. The man was clearly not the best at the English Language and only knew him as ‘Horse’ rather than Stallion. “This way White Horse!” He said referring to his next flight to the Yukon. Stallion however thought that the man was calling him ‘The White Horse’ and followed him to the plane thinking he was a representative from the Vancouver Wolves. That is how Stallion ended up stranded in the Yukon with no clue as to where he was and turning a series of flight that should have only taken 22 hours into a 2 day journey. Reports say that Stallion was later spotted getting on a flight back to Victoria assuming that Vancouver Island was where Vancouver would be.
