Warsaw Predators Key Offseason Additions, Part 2 - Free Agency

Recommended Posts

Nicholas Fomba - Goaltender

Signed a 1-year, $2-million deal in free agency

Fomba has made his intentions known that he'd like to play for every European team in his career. Although that'd be difficult to manage at this point, what Fomba will be able to do is take on a starting job in the VHL for the first time. He will hold down the starting goaltender job for the Predators until Krishna is ready to come up.

Hunter Hearst Helmsley - Center

Signed a 1-year, $5.5-million deal in free agency

HHH joined the Preds in what amounted to a coup for a fledgling franchise. Although he complemented the team's general manager for his pitch, it was ultimately random selection that led HHH to come Warsaw's way. Whatever the case, he gives Warsaw a legitimate star for the first iteration of this team, that can either dominate the team's single-season record books in his one year with the team, or ultimately become an attractive trade piece for a young franchise still far away from contention.
