Stansson's New Season Stats

               Through the first six games of the VHLM season, the Miami Marauders have gone 5-0-1. This is about as good of a start to the season as one could have hoped for. How did Wolf Stansson do during this time? Well, he has one goal on ten shots and six assists for seven points in six games. That’s a better-than-one-point-per-game average, which is decent. If he continued at this pace (with this early sample size), he would finish with 84 points, one point ahead of what he did last season.

 

               When we look a little further, we’ll see how his production differs. Stansson is not nearly on pace to record what he did last season in goals (30) or power-play goals (15). This is due to the plethora of goal-scorers this season on the forward position. Instead, Stansson has seen his assist numbers go up (he’s on pace for 72), while looking at his hits given and shots blocked reveals he has taken on that role. His lone goal on the season has come on the PP unit, meaning he’s shooting 20% on the PP, while he has gone 0-for-5 on even strength shots. He’s averaging 0.96 points per 20 minutes so far this season. His average minutes per game is 24.38, which is about five minutes lower. All of this suggests Stansson’s points-per-20-minutes performance is higher this season than last season. What will happen next remains to be seen, but it should be an entertaining ride.
