Eagles off to a great start

Greg Eagles, even though he should be on the decline due to age, is having one of his best starts to a season.

 

He is 12-5 with a .931 save % and 2.12 GAA to start the season. This has put him 3rd overall in save % and 1st in GAA.

 

" I feel great, I am playing some of my best hockey right now and doing my best to help Riga go back to back " Eagles said " While I may be one of the older goalies in the league, I feel like im playing like someone in their prime"

With such a great start many are wondering if Greg can repeat his S70 award wins

 

" While it would be awesome to win the awards again and make my mark on the league, for me its more important to win the cup. All of us here in Riga wanted it last year and we want to repeat again so that is our collective goal " Eagles continued " We would all rather win the cup then to have award winning seasons but fail to take home the biggest prize of all"
