I would like to thank all the players and GM for putting together a very good effort. Many players will move on, like myself, and some will stay to carry on the high bar that was set this season. A well lead and proud club. We knew it wasn't going to be easy to move past Miami but that didn't damper our hopes or dedication to win. We threw everything we had against them but they have indeed proved to be the better team. The games weren't bad, but we found ourselves on the outside looking in at the end of the day. So onward John Merrick goes. Looking to develop into a useful player in the big league. As time goes by, John will not forget his time with the awesome team he once played for, the San Diego Marlins.
