Pre-draft talk with Lee Xin

The weeks before this one has been busy for Lee Xin as he gears up for the draft. He has been very secretive about which team has approached him but we were able to convince him to tell us.

 

“The earliest interview was Aug 20. I was surprised, I didn’t know they started this early so it was a little sudden for me. But I loved the processes so far, casual and simple. There were offers coming from teams I previously applied to be AGM for and that’s nice. Shows I’m getting noticed.”

 

Lee said that teams that approached included New York, London and another 2 more he didn’t mention. One of them was rumoured to be a team he applied for job a while back. The latest draft ranking showed that Lee has maintained in the 18 spot for weeks now, will he be in the first round of the draft?

 

“I hope so, really hope so. I was picked in the 5^th round in the VHLM draft so I’m eager to be part of the top again. Showing that you guys were wrong in picking me in the 5^th round. I have always been an underdog here, it’s amazing to be part of the elites of the M.”

 

Lee also commented on some of the interviews he had with the GMs. Stating some lasted way longer that others which sort of made him panic.

 

“HAHA yeah about that. That’s so silly to be honest with you. The longest one was with London’s GM. We have talked before this but we never got to know each other so this was really nice. I felt good after that one! Definitely great that one of the teams from my list approached me but the others were equally impressive!”

 

Prepping for the draft is definitely not easy and he has been putting a lot of work to improve. All the best to the S74 draftees and good luck to all the teams!
