Looking at his VHLM stats, you can't blame many VHL GMs for letting goaltender Malone fall to the 2nd round. Malone only had 3 wins last season, though that mostly wasn't his fault as he was on an absolutely awful Halifax team that provided him no support. Check out those game threads and you will often see Halifax getting outshot something like 60-5, with Malone frequently getting pulled so someone else can be sacrificed to the wolves. This bad start to his career combined with only a mild demand for goalies among VHL teams led to Malone dropping in the 2nd round. However, experts believe that London got themselves a steal, as Malone will start showing his true colors this season on a dominant Halifax team featuring lots of top draft picks. The practice hours are there for Malone, and his hard work will pay off in the end with Founders and Continental Cups
