gorlab 4,321
L and R, two brothers from rural Ukraine, are highly-touted prospects in professional ice hockey. Prior to being discovered and drafted to the VHLM, the brothers played their junior hockey in the American southeast after their father, a Ukrainian mobster, relocated his family there to setup a cocaine distribution channel to other Eastern European gangsters along the east coast. His eventual drug empire was beneficial to the brother's ice hockey career, as it afforded them the ability to go to the most prestigious and rare hockey camps and schools. L and R have spent their lives playing together as a defence pairing throughout junior hockey. Their strengths benefit each other's weaknesses and if they fulfill their potential, they have a chance to change the ideology of defence in the current scene of pro hockey. Scouts have said it's almost like they share a telepathic link and know exactly where each other are on the ice. They play defence through creative lane-disruption techniques allowed for easy zone exits and transitions to fast break offence. Their play caused them to rise to prominence in the North American sim hockey scene, and both look destined to be VHL first round draft picks. L being sent to the penalty box. L has traditionally played as the left defenceman while R plays on the right-side. Both players put their lives on the line every time they step onto the sim. They are both physical yet elegant in their approach to defending and use a combination of accurate puck prediction along with the ability to use their body to separate puck and player. The only evident discriminating feature between the brothers is a lust for violence. L is known to be a hot-head and ready to drop the gloves at any opportunity, while R is much more reserved and calculated, rarely spending time in the penalty box. When interviewed, the brothers have stated they aim to spend their professional careers as a defense partnership and believe that VHL franchises will also see the benefit of keeping them together, and make the appropriate transactions to ensure it happens. For S74, the brothers will be suiting up for the Mississauga Hounds, who had to make a trade to ensure both brothers came to Ontario for their VHLM season. The future is bright for the Ukrainian drug-empire heirs and the pair will be looking to chase the ultimate prize in the VHL, the Continental Cup, over the course of their upcoming career. All interested GM's should definitely assure they have two first-round selections if they want to secure the services of the next premier defensive partnership in the VHL.
