Tom Eagles makes his choice

The son of current Riga Goalie Greg Eagles has decided to join the VHLM. Without much surprise the young defenseman decided to start his career exactly where his father did and that is in San Diego with the Marlins.

 

" I had 2 choices, SD and Minnesota. I really thought hard about Minnesota but I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to start where my father did " Said Tom " I know San Diego is rebuilding but it just felt like the right choice"

Tom will be joining the team later today as he gets his first feel for what the VHLM has to offer. He is already being touted as a future top pairing defenseman and I am sure we will get to know more about him as the season goes on. 

We also spoke to Greg Eagles about his son joining the league

 

" I think its great he is following in his old mans footsteps. It definitely would have been nice to play with him on the same team but unfortunately I will be retiring after this season as its mandated by the league. I definitely wish him the best of luck and will be following his progress."
