While he is an accomplished player in the VHL, Thomas Landry II first hit the VHL spotlight as a member of the Season 70 and 71 United States team in the World Junior Classic, winning a gold medal in Season 70. However, in Season 72, not only was Landry not selected to the United States' World Cup team, but he was additionally passed over by Team Mercenaries, who to add further insult to injury, went on to win gold.

"Yeah, that really fucking sucked," said Landry II following a Prague team function. "We missed the playoffs, and I didn't get to play internationally despite being more than good enough to be doing so. It stung."

But with the World Cup around the corner again, it's unlikely that Landry II is left at home this time around. With over 900 TPA, he is among the best forwards available for the to-be-determined Team USA GM, but would he be receptive to the call?

"Do you really think I'd say no to playing for Team USA?" Landry II laughed. "It's a well-known fact that nothing makes the VHL angrier than Americans with gold medals, how could I turn a chance to do that down?"
