Rookie experience - Oh Sens

1st season for the rookie from Japan has finished. It has been full of rollercoasters, but Oh Sens can proudly say, that he is a VHL player. He played in 2 different teams, 2 different conferences and not many rookies can say that.

Oh Sens started his VHL career in Helsinki, where he was drafted last season by Titans in 2nd round. He wasn't that great as everyone anticipated, but he was still a solid player. Oh Sens wasn't able to score much in Helsinki and it made Sens go in a bit of a slump. Those were some hard times for Titans because the team was not playing well and they were struggling hard to stay in the playoff position. It was decided, to trade Sens, so they could free up some space for other players, and it almost worked - Titans played in VHL finals.

The Greatest Hockey Player of All Time – The Sports Crave

A short time with Helsinki ended, and there was a new story for Oh Sens. He had to go overseas again and he traveled to beautiful Toronto. He got there many more minutes to play and the team was still really solid. In Helsinki, Sens didn't have much room at that time and in the future, Sens wouldn't be the main winger for Titans, so when he came to Toronto Legion he already felt, that he is needed here and Toronto city absolutely loved this trade, because nobody knows, what Oh Sens will be in the future. He could be the next great thing or someone worse.  But it is all in the Japanese youngster's hands to decide his fate. He's got a great team in Legion.

Toronto Legion with Oh Sens playing in 2nd line achieved the playoffs and they had a challenge facing one of the best teams in the league - Seattle - in the first round and well, Legion delivered.  Toronto defeated Seattle in 5 games and Oh Sens was a point-per-game player. Everyone was shocked to see Seattle leave so early, but Legion was not, they knew how strong they are and how far they can go.  Sadly in Conference Finals Legion had to lose against Vancouver Wolves in 7 games. Legion at one point had a chance to end the series when it was 3-2, but this time they didn't do it. Oh Sens had 1 really special game. The series was 2-2 and it was time for game 5. Oh Sens stepped up and got 1+4 that game and was awarded 1st star for his game. He showed, what he can be in the future.

Oh Sens probably won't be the greatest player to ever play in VHL, but one thing is for sure - he is going to have his fun in this league and he will enjoy doing what he enjoys. He has great teammates in Toronto, fantastic management, and awesome fans. See all of you next year!
