Hex Rose is a first generation player awaiting to blossom into the next top star of the VHL. Roses' ability to play both ends of the ice and win face-offs gives his team an edge. His ever-developing scoring prowess is also going to be something of a beast to look out for. Currently signed to the Las Vegas Aces on a waiver deal, he is undrafted at both levels and is emerging as a potential VHL and VHLM First Round pick. Let's take a closer look at his pros and cons to see how Rose has developed.

Pros:

1. Overall Offense: Rose strives on working on each part of his offensive game, whether it be scoring or passing, giving him a good edge in whatever situation he may find himself in once he has the puck. For Rose, he especially has that coveted scoring touch that has begun to blossom.

2. Face-offs: As a young Center, this is a very important part of the game Rose plays. Even with his VHLM career beginning, Rose has won over 50% of his Face-offs and continues to grow stronger at the dot. This makes Rose very useful for important face-offs that could give his team a huge boost, which can lead to victory for his team.

3. Movement: While not the faster skater nor the strongest puck-handler *yet*, Hex has made great strides already to improve his movement and as such is looking to become another lethal part of his arsenal very soon.

4. Defense: Just like with face-offs, being a Center means Rose will need to be ready to defend at a moments notice as he will be towards the middle of the ice. Lots of times this makes him the first line of defense and must do whatever he can to keep the puck away from his teams net. Rose can be seen daily working on his blocking and poke-checking, as well as choking up any potential passing lanes.

Cons:

1. Physicality: Rose isn't exactly the most physical player on the ice, which makes him more susceptible to oncoming hits which could force him to lose the puck. Rose will need to gain more muscle to try to fend off opposing players better.

2. Morale: Due to his younger life, Rose is quite hard on himself should he feel like he isn't playing as well as he feels he should, causing his morale to be lower than most of his teammates. Although trying to work on it, he still has a ways to go.
