5 games, is a Askarov has seen between the pipes. Likely to keep his rookie status for next season he will maybe start 4 more games. As the unofficial rule is 10 games for rookie status.

Going from starting basically every game for 2 seasons, to a back up role. Has been hard, its even shown in his work ethic he has phoned it in. Even missing his first ever week of training since joining the league. Its clear this is not something he will be able to do long. Askarov has played well.

He hopes to win the rest of his games he starts. Well he is curious to see what the plan is going forward. As he's showing, the boredness being a back up early.

It is very unclear just when he will start next, as its clear they are playing him versus very specific opponents. With a tough schedule ahead he has not seen the ice in more than 10 games and no end in sight.
