After the elimination of Toronto, Chicago has officially clinched a playoff spot. This will be the first playoff appearance for the Phoenix and they have worked hard for it. With the help of their first ever draftees to their GM's player, Jeff Downey, they managed to surprise everyone this season. The season started as expected for the team, a mediocre team that might not be competitive. However, Simon says no! Tides turned in the middle of the season and they had themselves a boost up the standings and points.

Defencemen like Socks, L, R and Downey have proven to be a force during this season with pairings that found chemistry with each other, helping the second line score when the top line was unable to find it's groove. It would be a good last season for Downey that was traded from Vancouver to Chicago.

Forwards like Mingle, Kiak, Dan, Jared, Syreck and Xin have contributed to the offensive powerhouse of the team. Even though the top line disappeared half way through the season, the second line has proven that they are also a force to be reckoned with.

The team is looking to go into the playoffs with winning momentum and is working hard to make that happen.

Congratz from both good article and making it to playoffs

Boosting up importance of both forwards and defenders, and why, is key here. You wont get anywhere here if you dont include them. Good stuff, goodluck in the playoffs
