JigglyGumballs 1,056
So because the season is over and the postseason has begun, and it's been quite a while since I did an article, I think it's a good time to reflect on my sophomore season in the VHL. For starters, let me talk about the comparison and improvements/changes between my stats this season and last season. As you can see in the image above and the link here, In this season, I did pretty solid by scoring 55 points and a record 7 goals in a full 72 game season. A huge improvement in terms of point production. So much for a sophomore slump eh? Interestingly enough, half of my goals were scored on the powerplay. I've also taken 50 shots more than last season which is a big factor in my increased production. Another thing of note is that previously, I wrote an article questioning whether or not a passing build works. Back then the season had just started. With only 6 points in 12 games, it was pretty reasonable for me to question my build at the time. Now that the season is over, I have full confidence that my passing build can work under certain circumstances. And I feel as LA (hopefully) improves next season, my stats will surely increase once again. Defensively, things are a little different. I nearly amassed the same amount of hits this season compared to last but I also blocked nearly 20 less shots in comparison to last season. Still 173 hits and 135 shots blocked is considerable feat. Numbers that won't hit the top 10s since the sims are fucked, but still very solid numbers nonetheless. The -9 is also a good improvement in terms of +/-. In conclusion (as I write this as it is like an essay for some fucking reason), this season has seen me improve really well overall. I came into this season thinking that if I don't do well enough, I might need to make a major change in my build afterwards. However, now that I'm honestly pretty satisfied with my results, it's safe to say that I'm going to continue to improve with what I already have and keep up with my point production. And hopefully, next season can bring some more fortune for the LA Stars.
