Moreau Begins Career in Halifax

Moreau begins his VHLM career with the Halifax 21st. He is expected to be an intimidating presence on their bottom pairing, standing 6 foot 8 inches and 240 pounds. So far in two games he has recorded 1 assist and 2 PIM. Moreau is hoping a strong showing in the playoffs will increase his value in the upcoming VHLM draft. Based on the small sample size to date Moreau appears to be a shutdown defenseman who is not shy in using his big frame. He also is very agile for his size as his skating is one of his stronger assets. We asked Aurelien on his decision to sign with Halifax. "Honestly it was as simple as the number of Covid cases in the region as well as the chance to play in the post season." So far in an early VHL mock draft Moreau ranks 13th overall. If he continues to develop at his current pace we could see him finding his way into the first round.
