Nathan Perry’s United Debut

Five games into his VHL career and Perry is quickly learning what a big jump it is from the minors to the pros. Perry had an extremely productive off season; training hard and building on his deficiencies. Coming into training camp Perry was thrust onto the top line as a rookie and that is where he would begin his first season as a member of the London United. Perry would record 2 assists in a 7-6 win over Helsinki, bursting onto the scene; chipping in offensively and most importantly helping his team secure the victory was the perfect debut for the young up and comer. The next 4 games have gone well for London going 3-1-0; Perry has struggled to continue to produce offensively and has found himself in some penalty trouble with 13 penalties in minutes in the 5 games. The coach seems willing to let some of that slide when he’s hitting everything in sight with 19 hits in those 5 games, despite his dip in production; it is still early into his VHL career and his hustle and work rate is undeniable and is making himself noticeable every single time he is on the ice. Eventually as Perry gets more comfortable and confident with his offensive skill set the points will come.
