Riga Players to Boost Regional Excitement

                                       With the influx of young players now on the Reign, the Public Relations division decided it was time to show the player's talents off the ice as well. Players showed up at Pauls Stradiņš Clinical University Hospital as well as Jugla Medical Center JSC Health Center Association to give away toys, jerseys, and tickets to patients and employees alike. First, as the team met with doctors and nurses, they were given a tour of each hospital to view the state-of-the-art technology that would provide players with more effective treatments.  During this, some players took time to get to know the employees by talking to them about the day-to-day challenges they are faced with. Others met with patients to deliver gifts and chat with them to ease their minds on the difficulties they face with their illnesses. After the meet-and-greet, the team manager surprised the Chief of Medicine for both hospitals with a check for 20,000 Euro to help cover improvement costs. Overall it was a relatively joyous day where the spirits of those in either hospital being lifted.
