Winter is Coming

What's up everybody!?
If you were drafted today, you are virtually the only people who have been here since S43. Thanks to the incompetence of other GMs, I feel we had a bitchin' draft. If nothing else, we definitely got the coolest people.
Atticus von Braxton IV - Advantage: Our franchise goalie. All VHLM teams fail due to lack of a competent goalie. He might not be able to catch up with Price in Bern, but we'll be one of the strongest teams based on him alone.
LeAndre St. Pierre - atw2592: One of the top three skaters in the draft who will actually be playing in the VHLM. Jeff Hamilton is already surpassed 200 TPE, and Stockton would have to give up TC to stay down, and he's updated past 175 TPE besides. I felt bad for not pointing that out to anybody, but also I didn't. That means LSP will be a top 10 scorer in the league quite possibly.
Joel Järvi - gregreg: Good ol' gregreg. One of the most reliable guys in the league, and underrated players in this draft. He'll be a top player by playoffs at his current rate.
David Hamilton - Knight: A true Internet friend. We once tore up the league as boss Commisioners. Now we will do the same as Lynx. We must podcast together soon.
Jon Stark - Winter is Coming: I could immediately tell this guy was cool from his account name. About as promising as a two-day old player can be, I hope we got a steal at 11th. All of the above guys (except atw maybe) are seasoned VHL veterans, and can give you any guidance you may require (including atw maybe). Don't hesitate to ask about anything, no matter how silly it might seem!
Kasey Morgan - Denver: Denver's been around the block, and Cattrall was real solid player. Admittedly I was probably the least active when you were most active, but I'm hoping we can hold hands and start a blossoming romance now.
Mattias Theib - Depox: He's been missing since he's joined, but I'll do what I can to reach out to him and see if I can coax him back. He'll immediately get 30 TPE, and he'll have an active locker room waiting for him, so good things could happen. He didn't join too too long ago, so we'll see what happens.
And I also picked up 11 TPE Patrick Brumm, who hasn't logged on in almost two months, so I'm less hopeful about him. But he should at least replace CPUs in the lines.
 
So there's our team thus far! We start with 3rd highest priority in waivers, so I should be able to nab some solid guys mid-season. Maybe even use the veteran priority to sign a dank free agent, who knows.
Anyway, I'm excited to be back GM'ing and I'm excited to have everyone here. Let the games begin!

Some breaking and awesome news has just broken out in the VHL universe, as Jonathan Stark, the Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch, has decided to abdicate his post in hopes of pursuing his career as a hockey player. The news comes as a shock to many people, considering the penalty of leaving such a post is death, yet Mr. Stark has decided the risk is most certainly worth the reward. 
 
Per VHL rules, Jonathan Stark will be entering the upcoming VHLM draft, in order to improve his skills as a player and prove his worth to all executives of VHL teams. The hope for Mr. Stark is most certainly to end up being drafted to the VHL in the near future, because he will need a visa to escape those who will be seeking to execute him. Until that juncture though, Stark is going to receive a temporary visa from his future VHLM team. 
 
Speaking of which, Stark will not have to wait too long to discover where he will be playing his VHLM hockey, as the aforementioned VHLM draft will be occurring tonight. It is an exciting time, because one can rationally argue the VHLM is the place that shapes what type of player you will develop to on and off the ice. Stark has virtually no prior hockey experience, considering his previous hobbies were predominantly killing white walkers and not knowing things. However, Stark possesses heart, which is something that should never be underrated and overlooked. Besides, if anyone gets in his way of achieving his hockey dreams, he can simply slay them with his sword!

While on the run from those trying to kill him for his escape from the watch, VHL reporter Isuckdick Frey, managed to sneak in a quick few words from the former king crow himself. When asked about his aspirations of becoming a hockey player, specifically one in the VHL, Jonathan Stark affirmed, “It’s bloody fucking cold up north, and I was getting sick of eating food infested by worms every day. Moreover, we lack funding to afford good ale now, and are forced to drink some crappy beer named Coors Light; I could not bare it anymore. Hockey is such an awesome sport, and professional players easily get laid. I have not managed to have sex since my ex-lover was killed by the spawn of satan himself; some wanker named Olly.”
 
The reporter could not manage to get more words affirmed from the man himself, but one can certainly now see the mindset of Mr. Stark a bit further from his words. It is going to be an interest journey to watch, and it is going to be difficult to guess how successful his hockey stint will turn out. One thing remains certain though, and that is the eyebrows of VHL executives have most certainly been raised.

I am just checking out the site as a whole and seeing if it is something I want to invest my time in, because I do not want to commit to a league only to quit due to time constraints.
