  1. @Tape-to-Tape with his first career playoff shutout. Defense on point for both sides. Special teams decided this one.
  2. Great game! @Spaz heating up. Flawless PK.
  3. 1.) How excited are you to have won your wildcard series? This team has resilience, we didn't have the strong season we were hoping for but that doesn't matter anymore. Moscow is a tough opponent but we all believe we can take them in round 1. 2.) Show me the best sweeping gif you can find, gotta get ready for next round ;) lol, honestly though I have a lot of respect for the team DA put together over there. They gave us a good fight. 3.) What do you think makes a team successful in the regular season vs the playoffs? Fighting for a win not only for yourself but for your teammates and our fan base. In the playoffs that hits an 11 out of 10 on the intensity scale. 4.) Are you washing your Hockey socks or are they now considered lucky socks? Nah, they need washing 5.) Who do you think is on fire atm? Who has been the MVP this far? Hiroshi Okada is on a mission with 10 points through 5 games. 6.) Do you think playoff hockey is more or less exciting than the regular season? Far more exciting! That playoffs are what we play for every game of the season. Once you are there is do or die every shift.

  5. Several big performance from both sides in this one. GG friends in Prague. On to Moscow!
  6. No star for Woody McPine?
  7. GG, on to Prague in the wildcard series!
  8. 1.)What’s the best Wi-Fi name you’ve seen? I know I've seen a few but I cant think of them! 2.)What’s the most ridiculous fact you know? Its not ridiculous, but as a hockey fan I must inform those who still don't know this; if you are on the ice for a powerplay goal against it does NOT count towards your +/- rating. 3.)Do you know the password to any other VHLers’s phone? If so why do you have it and have you done anything interesting with it? I know my old GM's numbers @BladeMaiden . Saving it for the right time. MUAHAHA! 4.)If you could make a child of any 2 previous VHL players that would join your team, who would you mash together? Thightrap and anyone. The thigh genes will be overpowered regardless. 5.)What is the most important unwritten rules of being a VHLer? Don't rush into decisions, weigh all your options. Be patient. 6.) What part of a kid’s movie completely scarred you? Gordon Bombay hitting the post. Such a letdown.

  10. A Titan in every sense of the word. We're losing a big part of our roster after this season. Best of luck with your next player!
  11. --> Titans S74 <-- For week ending Oct 18th Answer 3 for 1 TPE or 6 for 2 TPE! 1) Through trade the Titans said good bye to Jim Bob after almost 4 seasons in Helsinki. How did you bid him farewell? 2) The trade saw us acquire center Ola Vikingstad. What do you think he brings to the roster? 3) This week we saw Erik Draven announce retirement after 5 seasons in Helsinki. He will remain with us for the rest of the season and playoffs. What was your favorite memory of Draven as a Titan? 4) With the trade and pending retirement noted above, how motivated are you going forward? 5) If the Titans were to sport a 3rd jersey, what fun color scheme would you suggest? 6) Last week was Dream Team theme week. What was the best line mate(s) you had in your career? @enigmatic @Spaz @Jbeezy76 @Big Bob @PatrikLaine @Erik Summers @Seabass @Spence King @Tbeez99 @Tape-to-Tape @Mrpenguin30 @Mason @OscarTheSwagDude @Wreckening @AnthonyOuellet @Dil

@jRuutuEver since being drafted by the Titans 6th overall in S71 you have been a force. 872 hits in 265 games, 172 points to boot. Fantastic guy to have in your organization. You will be missed in Helsinki and I wish you all the best with Seattle with @Banackock. @Dil Welcome to the Titans. Its only been 12 seasons since I GM'd a player of yours. Lets chase a championship together!
  13. --> Titans S74 <-- For week ending Oct 11th Answer 3 for 1 TPE or 6 for 2 TPE! 1) Week 3 was a rollercoaster but ended with back-to-back wins. How are you feeling about going into week 4? 2) Oh Sens was moved to Toronto on the weekend. How did you bid him farewell? 3) We have a negative goal differential, aside from tinkering with lines what do we need to do better as a team? 4) Who on the team would you pick to take a penalty shot? 5) What sport are you 2nd best at behind Hockey? 6) Who on the team would you send up to the stage to sing Karaoke?

  19. Now at the quarter mark of his third VHL season, Valtteri Vaakanainen has been moving his way up the Helsinki Titans depth chart. Starting out as a left winger gave Vaakanainen the ability to move up and down the lineup during years one and two. His rookie campaign was more of a feeling out process as he spent most of the season on line three. He was able to score 13 goals and added 15 helpers while adding another two points in six playoff games. Valtteri continued as a left winger in his second year and became a prominent member of the Titans top 6 forwards. He was a much more effective member of the offense scoring 38 goals and adding 36 assists for 74 points and a +39. A healthy dose of experience was gained in the playoffs as the Titans fought there way to the finals. In 17 games Vaakanainen amassed 11 goals and 11 assists for 22 points and a +12. The Titans were reaping the rewards of their quick retooling and once again were regarded as a top team in the VHL. Year three for VV is just 17 games old. The Titans found themselves in a need to fill a role down the middle following the retirement of long time Titan Ben Hafkey. Vaakanainen came forward and offered to switch from the wing to center. Through his first 17 games the now centerman has been floating around the 50% mark in the face-off dot and has been scoring at a nice pace with nine goals. At 14 points, Vaakanainen sits near the point per game mark and remains a consistent performer for the Titans. When assessing the Titans competitive window, this is the start of when the club expected to make consistent deep playoff runs. Last season was a bonus and they almost surprised the hockey world by taking an early championship in their retool. Vaakanainen is a big piece moving forward for the club and he hopes his production does not slow any time soon. Being a veteran on the club after what seems like such a short amount of time is something that will sink in as the season progresses. The clubs captain, Erik Summers, is the player most looked up to in locker room and Valtteri hopes to be in his shoes as time passes. The Helsinki Titans are a roster full of offensive and defensive role models ready to earn Helsinki their 12th Continental Cup championship.
  20. How about all you can eat breadsticks and soup at the Olive Garden?
  21. Big win, great work Titans. Not sure what happened in that first period but props to @Tape-to-Tape for keeping it scoreless.
  22. The S74 VHL entry draft held just over a week ago saw many promising players find new homes in the VHL. Helsinki's playbook was quickly realized by onlookers as they took to the podium announcing only defenseman in their draft positions. With a plethora of forwards and young goaltenders to shore up the future, the Titans looked at their depth chart and focused solely on what was needed for seasons to come. While having a strong defensive core of Erik Summers (S69), Seabass Perrin (S68), Spencer Elsby (S72), Tony Bolonee (S68), Helsinki had no D prospects to speak of and hope to have addressed their future need. Round 1 (Pick 15) - Gabriel Akerstrom @Mason Round 3 (Pick 46) - Kate Upton @OscarTheSwagDude Round 3 (Pick 51) - Chase Crosby @Wreckening Round 4 (Pick 67) - Jacoby Buckfast @AnthonyOuellet While still early, Gabriel Akerstrom looks poised to make the jump next season, while Upton and Crosby continue to excel in the VHLM. Buckfast has yet to report but the Titans are hopeful he will make a return.
