You earn $762 and buy whatever the stone is called. I too don't care to check I checked and forgot the name already. It's a tough first round for Ivysaur, but you get through it. Erika brings in Leafeon and makes it just the slightest bit tougher with a knockout. Luckily, you've just done whatever it is you've done to your Doublade, and now you have a heckin' cool interchangeable Aegislash to work with...who retaliates (hard) and manages to get Leafeon out on the second shot. Finishing up the round with Exeggutor, Erika brings you down to your last fighter in Gyarados and Air Slash. ...which works after two moves! YOU'VE DEFEATED ERIKA! Ivysaur gains 3 levels (and evolves into Venusaur!) and Aegislash and Gyarados each gain 2 levels.

Welcome to the league! Please remember to #BlameCole for everything. If you have any questions, feel free to ask Cole, myself, or anyone else--the league needs more people to play defense, so you certainly created at the right time.

Welcome to the league @Daddy Durkin! We need lots of people to play defense at the moment, so I hope you stick around. Feel free to message me or any of the VHLM GMs if you have any questions!

TWO OUT OF THE THREE OF THESE ARE SUPER EFFECTIVE AGAINST KIRLIA SMH MY HEAD Focus Band on Kirlia; Focus Sash on Poliwag. We're going to lead off with Poliwag as a sacrifice bunt of sorts. Poliwag will use Water Gun against whoever is up first, and presumably be knocked out by that whoever. If Poliwag is knocked out by Charmeleon or Haunter, bring in Kirlia and use Psybeam. Hope RNG does its thing. If Poliwag is knocked out by Arbok, follow up with Flareon. Let Flareon burn through everything with Fire Blast. If there's a way to pull Flareon and bring in Kirlia for a final KO, that would be nice. If in that case I'm allowed to ask for Flareon to use a move that stops short of a knockout, that would also be nice. I'll leave that up to mod discretion--if not, let Flareon deal with Arbok, put in Kirlia for whoever's next, accept that I'm probably going to lose, and use Flareon as backup going forward. As a reminder, if Kirlia somehow manages to record a KO, I've just bought the evolution stone

Buy a Metal Coat, which I'll apply to Onix--and consider this a deal. I now have 4 unique Fire species and have traded for a Fire-type--2 VPs please!

@Jason kranz is skipped; please make your pick whenever you're available. @Big Newff goes on the clock

I'll keep Action 4 - Work. I'll use some money to buy whatever evolution stone will evolve Kirlia when the time comes. Action 5 - Battle Tower lv 29 AGAIN

"It's Grubbin' time", you say as you begin to grub. Charmander knocks out Grubbin and turns to Wooloo...who hits back. You have to bring out your Wartortle to compensate. Wartortle wipes out both of the Wooloos in question. Charmander gains 2 levels (and evolves into Charmeleon!) and Wartortle gains 2 levels. You earn $305. At the lake again, you find: Sneasel lv 23 Poliwag lv 23 Sneasel lv 23

Steelix leads off the battle, and Vikavolt counters with X-Scissor. It lasts a few rounds...but Steelix comes out on top. Ribombee follows this up with Pollen Puff...and again can't make much happen against your Steelix. Buggsy brings out Scizor, who knocks out Steelix in a couple moves...but your Charmeleon makes quick work of the last battle. YOU'VE DEFEATED BUGGSY! Charmeleon and Steelix both gain 3 levels.

Focus Sash on Kirlia; Focus Band on Poliwag. Lead with Flareon/Fire Blast. This time I get the first move and I don't think it's against anyone who would screw me over type-wise. The bad news is...it's not good for Kirlia and that's what I want. Follow with Kirlia/Psybeam against Ivysaur and Haunter and Draining Kiss against Exeggutor. I think this will at least get me where I want, which is a level up. Poliwag/Water Gun on Haunter and Tackle on the others. I hope that isn't necessary. Going to sleep now, so I'll do the following: -Work -Buy 2 Great Balls and a Repel, which I will use for my last action: -Explore Saffron City and hope I can get a Growlithe to show up. -If I see a Growlithe, Great Balls on it and fight the others. If not, fight everything (unless a Legendary of any sort happens to come out, in which case I'll burn through my entire Great Ball stash on that one). -Focus Band on Poliwag -Kirlia/Gardevoir/Gallade/whoever will use Psybeam/Psychic/Psychic depending on which one it is, unless the attack does nothing in some weird type matchup--in which case I'll move to the next one on the list. -Poliwag/Water Gun as backup -Flareon/Fire Blast after that if necessary
-
You know what, let's run it again now that I should have some idea what's going on and Flareon is more powerful. Battle Tower lv 29 again! Let's evolve Kirlia (I hope).

Already selected; feel free to pick another player whenever you come online.

People who can skate, a lot, for a long time. No need for much checking, and maybe younger players, so I'll go a bit more unconventional--Ronan Lavelle/The Board Game Clue on Skates/Tavish DeGroot. If @jacobcarson877 will forgive me for pinging him twice over a very short period of time, I think he said it best in comparing Vandelay to Vasilevskiy. 1. I've started to (attempt to) teach myself how to play keyboard. What's something interesting you've been doing lately? 2. What are your ideas for solving the league's positional imbalances? For example--there are too many goalies and not enough defenders. 3. What's a popular song that you hate?

...and also appearing on my first draft stream! You can find that on Dil's Twitch channel (something I never thought I'd link here). I'll list a general collection of thoughts about said draft, and said stream, below. -It went well! I've seen drafts go far longer when the portal starts breaking down or when every other pick ends up in some deal that doesn't get talked about until it's on the clock, but that didn't happen. For the most part, GMs were on top of things fairly well. -There was one thing that delayed the draft a bit, and it was my fault. A trade went through that I couldn't approve because one of the players involved was officially listed as a VHLE player rather than a VHLM player...and I had no idea how to switch that around. I had a couple others with portal perms messaging me and eventually the situation resolved itself, but for a while I was very concerned as the deal involved picks in that draft, so it wasn't something I could figure out at a later time. -I hate BPA'ing people. It happened in a couple cases later on in the draft when I couldn't get in touch with the GM, and it felt weird even though I knew it was the right move. I get that "stupid Gustav is keeping the draft moving when I didn't say who I wanted" isn't a rational thought, but I've also seen my share of irrational thoughts in this league and I hope no one thinks that at any point. -I once wrote about a bit of anxiety I had about recording with people/putting my voice out there, and I think I'm mostly over that because it wasn't something I thought about much at all yesterday. I'd say it definitely helps that I have my own space to live in now--don't have to wonder if someone is listening to my business. So if anyone wants me on a podcast and is willing to deal with me being potentially available/not available at weird times, let me know Thanks to @Dil, @Alex, @jacobcarson877, and @badcolethetitan for making the stream a fun experience! I'm looking forward to next season's draft.

For the sake of whoever mods this: the above are at Level 29. -Focus Band on Poliwag -Focus Sash on Flareon (though I doubt that will make a difference). -Lead with Poliwag and use Water Gun on Onix. Pray the Focus Band works. -Follow with Kirlia/Psybeam and hope the random part of the move selection doesn't wipe it out in 2 moves. -Flareon/Fire Blast I think odds are decent that I went too high levels-wise and this won't work out fully, but should at least get some levels out of it somewhere.
-
Do you have much experience with photo editing? This is really good. I like how you managed to combine a few different colors and make it work. That's something I can never do myself.

Action 1: Work Buy a Focus Band and a Focus Sash. Action 2: Battle Tower lv 29
-
If Route 1 is so great, then how come there's no Route 2? Magikarp lv 18 Grubbin lv 18 Pichu lv 19
-
Must be nice to have disposable income--you spend $2,660 on the above. Your Safari Pass comes with a warning to avoid disturbing the wildlife, but being the little ingrate that you are, you come across: Wooloo lv 20 Hawlucha lv 18 Swinub lv 19
-
While at work, you earn $1,339, spending $1,680 for some of the best catching tools on the market.
-
Ekans takes 2 to catch, Koffing takes 1, and Magnemite takes 4. In the end, you get all three!
-
In order: -Eevee -Abra lv 22 -Abra lv 19 -Poliwag/Water Gun -Kirlia/Psybeam -Flareon/Fire Blast
-
Poliwag/Water Gun on Geodude and Onix; Kirlia/Psybeam as backup and on Pumpkaboo; Flareon/Fire Blast as the usual backup. My favorite part of this game is when I say "It's Saffrin' time" and begin to saff. So... Action 5: Saffron City

This is true but where the fuck did you come from

Damn I opened this but clicked out of it without picking. F - Alex Johnston F - Vinny Detroit @Big Newff
