Jolteon knocks out Lance's Gyarados with one hit. Wartortle uses Water Pulse and is hit with a Fire Blast from Charizard. Another Water Pulse, and Charizard is still standing. Charizard uses Dragon Claw and knocks out your Wartortle! One might expect a Water-type to win that fight, but Lance is just that good. You send out Jolteon again, who finishes Charizard with Thunder. Both you and Lance switch out your fighters now, you to Glaceon and Lance to Dragonite. Dragonite gets the first move...

Depends how you look at it. Given LA's lack of production as a whole, Vandelay couldn't have been expected to do well. I did have some good moments and I did manage to steal some wins from some teams, so I'll take it. Too early to tell. As a goalie in the current goalie market, I might be forced to stick with LA whether I like it or not--but I have no complaints so far and would be happy to keep myself in town if we're competitive in a reasonable amount of time. Writing mock drafts, if I have the time for them! They're always some of my best, most readable articles and I know people enjoy seeing where they might end up. 1. In just a couple short seasons, the VHL will be absolutely overflowing with goalies. What's your proposed solution to the issue? 2. What's something you DON'T like about the VHL? 3. Alakazam is used to the punching at this point and takes down Glaceon with one hit. Jynx rolls out with Blizzard, which is countered with a Dynamic Punch from Alakazam. Both are in the battle at this point, but Jynx had the first move and knocks out Alakazam with another Blizzard. Espeon comes out with a Body Slam and knocks out Jynx. It's now time for Lapras to come in, who has wrecked a couple battles so far...

Growlithe beats Ekans and you gain 4 levels and $120. Ekans evolves into Arbok!

Charmeleon wins the first battle in two moves, but is finished immediately by Jynx. Alakazam comes out with Psychic against Jynx...but it's not very effective. Jynx knocks out Alakazam with two hits of Blizzard. Raichu is let into the fight...

Rhydon knocks out Umbreon on the first hit. Arbok leads in with Crunch and is KO'd with one shot of Earthquake. Gengar uses Poison Jab...

A3: Abra lv 16 Meowth lv 25 Meowth lv 18 Charmeleon gains 4 levels and you gain $352. A4: Bulbasaur lv 15 Bellsprout lv 25 Bulbasaur lv 25 Charmeleon gains 3 levels and you gain $324.

Charmeleon takes 3 moves to get past Glaceon and is quickly knocked out by Jynx, but gets the first job done. Now, it's time for your newly-evolved Jolteon's first battle! Facing Jynx, Jolteon gets its first attack off but is immediately one-hit KO'd by Jynx. Ponyta steps in and takes a shot at Jynx...

You gain 2 levels and $240. Neither of your Pokeballs work on Gastly, but the first Great Ball does--you've caught Gastly!

You earn $962. Eevee evolves into Jolteon!

You catch Bellsprout! You gain 6 levels and $266.

Ponyta leads in with Flamethrower and beats Glaceon in two moves, but is quickly knocked out in one by Jynx. Gyarados comes back in, and in two moves more wins the fight against Jynx. Now, it's time for Lorelei's Level 50 Lapras. Knocking out Gyarados in one move, it's down to the last round.

Going exactly the way you drew it out, you gain 5 levels and $162.

You gain 7 levels and $626

After reaching out and confirming that you only have one sitrus berry and intend to use it for Rhydon... ...you lead off with Rhydon, who takes down Lorelei's Glaceon with one shot. Lorelei doesn't like that very much and sends out Jynx, who hits Rhydon with Psychic. Rhydon comes back with Megahorn, and wins two fights in as many moves. Still holding the berry, Rhydon's HP remains above 50%. For the third round, in comes Lapras, who uses Ice Beam...and knocks out Rhydon completely. Golem tries Stone Edge once, but is met with the same fate. Raichu comes in and hits a partially-hurt Lapras with Thunder.
