Honestly I completely agree. This was one of those things that came up because people in a suggestion drive all wanted more career tasks like EFL has but we didn’t want to shove them all into a player’s first season essentially. It was a fine idea in theory but in practice it just doesn’t work. Like you said, by your 8th year realistically you are either retired or you really don’t need 8 uncapped enough to write a bio. Lahtinen was in the first draft class that could make use of the new rules and I remember seeing at the time that only 3 of us actually remained long enough to even hit the bio and we all felt the same way: why bother? At that point we were all above 1250 TPE and had our builds done and nothing else to bank for so what benefit was there? I’m not saying people weren’t well intentioned asking for more career tasks, maybe it was just the way we implemented them, but it certainly hasn’t worked at all IMO.

You can if you want, you just won’t get TPE for them all.

Tough go when you lose your 2nd pairing D man 8 minutes into the game; that shot total should have made for a closer game. Oh well. That's a lot better, at least we didn't have a bot playing 15 minutes. Should be a good series.

@Members Yes, you read that right, Trivia! @Squidward0 has put his talents to use and has written trivia onto the portal; don’t go looking mind you, it’s not live just yet. This will allow users to not only to claim trivia immediately upon getting the answers correct (straight on the portal) but also alleviate a lot of the trivia head issues (we’ll still have someone running it, to be hired) AND allow the questions to be randomized from a pool per user so no more sharing 1 person’s answers across the whole league. That last point does bring up an issue though: We need questions! @Victor had a bit of a stockpile of unused questions but we need more. By our estimate the question pool will need to grow by at least 20 questions per season to stay large enough so we need your help. We’ll get a more formal process going once the portal trivia is set up and running (hopefully for next season) but for now we just need things quickly so here’s how this is going to go down: Everyone who wishes to submit a question (or questions) can do so by PMing me the question as well as 4 multiple choice answers (noting the correct one). You can do this for up to 3 questions. Questions should be as usable as possible for many seasons so please try to avoid using things that are too seasonally specific (For example who was last season’s HoF class). We will take as many of these as are valid (ideally all of them) and put them into the question pool. When they all go in I’ll make a claim list with how many questions were used from everyone and for every question you submit that goes to the pool (again, max of 3 please) you will be given 1 uncapped TPE. I will lock this thread once we have put the questions in and are no longer accepting submissions in this manner. Please make sure questions are sent only via forum PM and make sure the subject line reads “Portal Trivia Submission”

Basically internet based money laundering. Buying an NFT means you “own it exclusively” in the same way it used to be with like buying art. Problem is you don’t get any physical thing, just an internet certification saying that you bought this thing that anyone on the internet can easily get a copy of because, well the internet, but you own the “original.” Its a scam the world is for some reason falling for.

If he did I never saw it which is problematic in itself but it certainly should not be happening. Even if you were to ignore the rule change the part about not ducking up your own draft stock has always been there.

One cannot tamper one-self. One, however, can tank their own draft stock intentionally. I’m not saying you can’t have a preference to go to your own team, you just can’t force it to happen.

I already did ages ago, GM’s haven’t had auto-claim since S76.

The rulebook, as it often is, is out of date and still has the rule stating that GM’s can sacrifice their first round pick to immediately pick themselves. That has not been the case for over a year now.

Where are you pulling that from? Intentionally tanking your draft stock as a GM at all isn’t allowed, round has absolutely nothing to do with it. Also you’d have to trade for yourself because you can’t pick yourself up in FA so things to keep in mind. Maybe try just enjoying having a player who isn’t tied to a team eh?
