  1. Well it’s been a crazy first week in the Jst this week so let's recap everything that happened for Team Brigade and, of course, our boy from Saint-Claude-de-la-Conception, Oli McGee. First of all, the Jst Commissioners approved a last minute expension to deal with the overflowing pool of undrafted talent to take part in the tour. Therefore, the Delhi Pickles was born to be the 6th team in the tour. Thus, this would force every GM to submit a protection list with little to no knowledge of their teams chemistry. Oli McGee commented “I deeply wish to stay with the Brigades. I like what I see in the locker room and I’m convinced we will have a great tournament”. On last wednesday the 10th, General Manager Jacob summited his protection list which included the following players ; Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, Sadie St-Louis, Klaus Kraus, Lloyd Braun, Womp Womp Womp Womp Womp Jr., Alexander Minion and yes, finally, Oli McGee. “That was a quite relief”, Oli said, “I have already ordered a ton of custom hockey card of me me in a Brigade jersey for my friends and family. It would have been a waste”. With all the paperwork and other office shinanigan behind us, the tournament could proceed And we quickly see how every reacted to the expansion draft. On day one of the tournament team Brigade would face team Warriors in a serie of three matches. Spoiler alert, they sweep the Warriors, outscoring them by 10 goals. McGee did collect his first point in game 1 by gathering an apple as he served a magnificent tape to tape pass in the slot to Ben Dover who buried it in a net left wide open by Warrior’s goaltender Ash Spark at 1 minutes of the 1st period. McGee would also inherite his first penality minutes.During a heated brawl in front of Team Brigade’s net. Oli litteraly axed Mini holding his stick like a baseball bat. Referee Unknow called a a well deserved double-minor for slashing. “It sucked, I took a bad penalty and let my team down. He got into my head, saying stuff related to my sister, curd cheese and a air blower. I won’t comment futher”… Team Brigade whent ahead and won both game one and game two with a score of 5 to 3. And then blew off to score 7 goals to 1 in the last game. McGee whent scoreless but played some strong defensive hockey. Day 2 started with yet another matchup between the Warrior. After been blown away, the Warrior bounced back to win 3-2 as Team Brigade offered a poor performance. Brigade would go and loose 4-2 against Team Clue and win game 3 4-1. Our boy McGee whent pointless thru the day. Day 3, Brigade won game 1 against Team Clue 4-3. On game 2 , McGee would finaly find the back of the net as he gave Brigade the W , serving Team Clue’s goalie Bill Nye his Bombay’s triple deck. Brigade loose game 3 to Warriors in an offensive festival 6 to 5. This conclude my weekly recap. We sure hope to see McGee’s bounce back and gather a couple points next week. 2. 1. How are you feeling about your performance in the JST so far? I'm having a hard time finding my offensive touch to be honest, but my defensive foward game is on point. Denying scoring chances is as good as scoring. No? 2. Who do you think has the upper hand in the VHLM Finals, the Aces or the 21st? They are both amazing team. 21st in 7 3. Would you rather lose in the first round or the finals? The final of course. Heart breaking but a deep run would brought a valuable experience. 4. What is a personal goal of yours for next season? Definitly holding my ground as a VHLM recruit and step up my game. 5. Who is 1 person you hope to be on a team with next season? Hands down Jeremy Swaman. Bug prop to our goalies, but the guy is amazing. 6. What is one place you've always wanted to visit? Toronto hockey hall of fame. Will do, soon.

  4. On Monday the eight of august was held the annual JST entry draft at the Discord Arena for the upcoming Junior tournament showcase. Young player from all around the internet held on the their chair wishing to hear a GM call their name and finally been allowed to step one foot closer to the big league. Among them sat of course our beloved Oli McGee from Saint-Claude-de-la-Conception, who, if drafted, would be the first ever player from our humble little hamlet to join a team in such a high level of virtual hockey competition. This class was especially know for lacking a deep pool of Defenceman which represented a true challenge for the acting GM. And a overflow of goaltending talent meant some alleged great player would have to go home carrying the weight of their broken dreams. As the table where set and the GM's ready to fire, Team Clue opened the night by selecting Defense man Isamu Knievel from the Houston Bulls. His blue line teammate Lloyd Braun would be picked up right after by Team Brigade. Reno Reinhold,a defence man from Germany would close the top three as he was picking by Team Steel. Three D-man as top three, the struggle was real. There is even rumour that some team might have to use fowards as D-man to meet the league regulation! With the 42nd overall pick, our boy Oli McGee from Saint-Claude-de-la-Conception finally get selected by GM Jacob and will be playing for Team Brigade. "I am pretty stocked to join the defending champion of the Jst showcase", McGee said, "I'll do my best to help this team win it again this year". And we sure hope he does! It will be a thrill to follow Team Brigade thru the championship. -Tim McKrank, The Localist

  6. 1. The VHLM season has ended, so now it's the final stretch until the VHLM draft. How do you plan to stand out above your peers come draft time? Well I've been in contact with some veteran to help me navigate thru the system. I am pretty confident I will be able to get my fair share of points and demontrate my skill in the upcoming tournament. 2. The Junior Showcase Tournament begins this week! What is the coolest team name? (Clue, Brigade, Steel, Warriors, Royals) Of course, I am bleeding Brigades so... does this answer your question? 3. There seems to be a bit of a goaltending crisis, with more eligible goaltenders than positions for the VHLM this coming season. What is one idea to help remedy that? Add another goal on each side of the rink would make the game more exciting, we hould also play with four pucks. 4. What was the best thing that happened to you this week? Being drafted felt pretty special. I feel like I'm in the twilight zone. I've worked so hard since yesterday to make this happen. 5. Who is someone in your life that you appreciate? How come? I have to thank both of my cat's who have been tremendous mental support thru the pandemic. B.B. Pinotte, P'tit-Poulet, this one is for you. 6. It is blazing hot, at least where I am. What is an underrated indoor activity? Not paying rent and try to avoid your landlord. Kinda like a sneak and deceive game. My best streak is 7 days. But I'm looking foward for next month. Also I have a Steam Deck
  7. Well! Maybe it is meant to be! It may be it is my destiny be a Wranglers someday.
  8. Thank you Daniel for all the info! I appreciate it!

  10. Head to head by Tim McKrank -The Localist As S84 is drawing to an end, it is always exciting to see the new prospect class coming in town to participate in the combine and battle for a draft spot. I had to pleasure to meet with Oli McGee, the first ever player to reach the VHL draft poll from my hometown Saint-Claude-de-la-Conception,Qc. A small village in Quebec in which McGee, and yours truly, grew up. Since podcast technologie didn't reach SCdlC yet, I am glad to offer a transcript of our interview. T -First of all Oli, on behalf of all 269 citizens of SCdlC, I'd like to congratulate you for been the first player from our modest village to enter the VHL! O -Thank you Tom.. T -It's Tim. O -Yes, well, I am happy to represent SCdlC. Hope to make y'all proud! T -I was surprised to see you listed as an LW since you never played that pos in the EASHL, why did you choose it? O -Well, you see, LW was the lowest prospect pool position, so has a team player, I decided to fill a LW spot, hoping it will help a GM. T -Fantastic! What's up with the 200lbs thought? Did you hit the gym? O -Rude... But I'm afraid I've hitting poutine more then gym. T -Thank you Oli and good luck out there. O -Thank you Tom. T -Its Tim. O -yup. Well, pretty exciting stuff! This was Tim McKrank for The Localist.
