I'm going to give you a bit of advice (not that I expect it to be taken, but please consider it).
 
I have a lot of complaints about how the mod team does things. When I see things like this, it really annoys me because you're antagonizing people and crossing lines and acting like you're being crushed by the powers that be when you're even just respectfully asked to stop. The way Sam and Baozi dealt with you in this case is completely fair IMO. So please, do the rest of us a favor and stop causing issues--because the next time the mod team does do something shitty, I'd rather be able to complain about it without being told I'm doing exactly what you're doing here.

Well no you're correct. I'm definitely not suitable for this. I definitely have not mandated  everyone to love each other, nor do I provide shelter or food spending money for anyone here. I'm sorry if the goals for my position are not inline with this and I regret not having structured the COC this way as well.
 
Like I said, its unfortunate but not surprising you have no Idea what my values and goals are.

Also, let me define the threat because this is important for everyone in this league to understand. 
 
If @Baozitruly disagrees with those simplistic values of him and I not being alike - how can I possibly trust him to approach a situation that involves discipline with members of this league in good faith?
 
He has shown here that he cannot be trusted to do that, and literally has admitted to so. What a bad, bad look, for a person who is supposed to be our head Mod. 

Don't worry @Achilles about the opinion of a person who said that another human being should have been aborted. 
 
But what I find hard to accept is that somehow that same person is the head mod???  The person who is just as/if not more aggressive in Discord than I have ever been in my entire time here. 
 
That's why it's ironic @Baozi and that's why you shouldn't be in the role that you are.  The reality is that everyone makes mistakes, it's how we respond from them.  All you've done today is proven in your responses that you are ill equipped for this role.  You turn your nose up towards us, like you're somehow a better person than me or Achilles, when in reality you're just like us.
 
That's where your team gets in wrong.  Punishment is never the answer.  Communication, understanding, learning.  Now, that's a beautiful thing.  Something you oughta take note of.

You're a terrible representation of leadership here, and that's just my opinion.  Just like you're allowed to have yours.

We are too sensitive or maybe you're stuck in the old world where you think it was acceptable. The world has changed and that is also how we have adapted to it. You were told from multiple people and multiple servers that your attitude was unacceptable, who is the out of touch person here?

The Brigade are please to announce the locker room has voted on who will be the team's Captains and Alternate Captains (or as we like to call them, Lieutenants!) Now for your S85 locker room leaders.
 
For the first Alternate.... It's Jason Lajeunesse Jr!!! It wasn't the most expected choice but we certainly hope Jason will make a big impact on the team and do us proud on the ice and off it.
 
Wearing the second Alternate patch, it's Adam Rage!! Rage was a major reason his Marlins took their first round series to 6 games and he was an immediate front runner in voting. Rage is sure to make his presence felt this tournament and his experience, being part of last year's JST, should be a huge asset for this team.

Skor McFleury has been once of the most successful members of the S87 class and is hoping to make his impact on the tournament felt immediately just like he was able to with the Mexico City Kings. This is an Offensive Defenseman through and through. The only thing broken with Skor around is the ankles of would be defenders. 
 
Thank you to all the Brigade players who participated in the vote, I appreciate the activity in the locker room immensely, going to be announcing some fun stuff here soon for us all to enjoy.

As some of you might be aware, I have been pretty inactive within the forum and Discord as a whole. This is due to the abundance of work from school, playing lacrosse, and attempting to bring back ice hockey to my campus for the first time in a couple years. After earning the AGM role for the Aces, I had learned of Shindigs's impeding retirement from the GM position for the Las Vegas Aces (VHLM). I felt like I had (and still do) the capabilities to lead a team into a potential four-peat once I (potentially) took over. However, as mentioned before, I feel like things in real life for me are going to become even more hectic within the coming weeks and I don't personally see how I could split time to garner a large role such as GM. 
 
Because of this, I have informed Shindigs that I am no longer interested in being named the next GM of the Las Vegas Aces. While I have not received a response yet (more than likely asleep) from him, I think he will understand as to why I am backing out of the running for the role, as he mentioned before that he will begin to become busy as well. 
 
This also means that I will step down from the AGM role after the season has concluded. I will also refrain myself from scouting in the upcoming JST as I feel like I have lost interest in it due to my strong workload.
 
This does NOT mean that I am completely leaving the VHL as a whole. I will still attempt to be active within Discord and the Forum, but I cannot make any promises at this time since I'm unsure of the road ahead. 
 
I thank @Shindigsfor not only allowing me to become AGM of the Aces, but I sincerely thank him for helping me build my player through the Aces system and for being active with helping me if I had any questions. I will always support the Aces, whether I'm connected to the team or not. I thank everyone that I was able to manage this year, you all have bright futures within this forum, and I think you all could become the next greats!
 
I hope whoever takes over as GM of Las Vegas keeps the streak alive! It would be awesome to see it continue to grow after Shindigs is gone.

No, they didn't blame it on the pandemic - it's just that there's been a big drop off since the return to work/school aspect of the pandemic ending.

There's a saying that goes something along the lines of, "It's not in bad taste so long as it tastes good," and this article/post is quite delicious.  There is a sentence in JR's Repeat Offender edition that stands out to me, and that is that the Mod team, "lets their personal feelings affect how they do the job," and that is something I would whole heartedly agree.  T-Minus five seconds until they disagree with me. 
 
Being a Mod is a hard job, but this team in particular enforces too harsh of penalties for things that should not be penalized with suspensions or bans.  I also think some of have been doing it too long like @Baozi who I have seen hand out swift mutes for things that just annoy him.  It's not a big surprise why Gen chat has fallen off (I for one never go there because the last time I did I got suspended) or why we see lower retention numbers than ever before (and I hate to tell you, it's not all on the pandemic).  
 
Y'all are way too sensitive and this recent suspension of JR is a prime example.  I know how controversial of a person JR can be, but that was a joke of a suspension and especially for the length of time that it was. 
 
The emphasis should be on teaching and coaching.  Only extreme situations should be dealt with as harshly as JR was.
