Mexico City Kings Press Conference Week
Breeze837 replied to JCarson's topic in Team Press Conferences
1. Mexico City has a very active and inspiring locker room as our greatest strength. 2. Our greatest weakness in my opinion is filling all of the holes of players that left for the VHLE league. 3. My player's greatest strength is contributing to the defense and playing in the defensive zone. 4. My player's greatest weakness is keeping up with opposing defenses whenever he starts playing offense. 5. I think every team in the league is great to face during the season because every day is a challenge. 6. I think the team that collects the least amount of TPE will end up in last place this season because developing every week is very important to a team record. -

1. My favorite part of season 94 was when the Mexico City Kings shocked the league by starting undefeated for a few games. 2. The worst part of season 94 was when our team fell from 1st all the way to 4th in 3-5 sims which shattered some hopes from our fans. 3. I would pick Samsayz I-Smell as the team MVP this season because he contributed to the defense very well with the most points 4. I am looking forward to continue to improve my game as a user and a player in season 95 5. I am planning to take part in any offseason tournaments that Roman Amnon is eligible for because I want him to gather life experience with playing against players he never faced before as intense practice. 6. My expectations for next season is to improve my overall build as a defender and I expect my player to contribute more to the team offensively. -

1. Roman Amnon loves to eat potato salads, scrambled eggs and panama cakes as his favorite pre-game meal. 2. My player's favorite color is red because of his Mexico City Kings jersey. 3. On off game days, my player likes to eat a mexican pizza and a taco has his cheat day food. 4. My player drinks powerrade as his drink during games. 5. My player hates Wenesdays because he says he has nothing to do besides practice 6. My player will go watch the MLB playoffs during the offseason and make a VHL account. -

1. I expect us to finish in 1st place of the Western Conference because we have a 5 game difference 2. I believe we will be the 2nd best team in the league behind Halifax 21st from the Eastern Conference 3. I believe Samsayz will have the most points by the time the playoffs starts 4. I believe Carl Erhardt will have the most penalties by the time season is over 5. I expect us to win our first round series but I expect the series to be difficult 6. I expect our team to have a total of 101 points by the time the regular season is over -

Name: Roman Amnon Age: 16 Position: D Country: Panama Ronan Amnon was born in Panama and he was given the name Ronan because his parents believed that he would become the next successful family member followed by his father who was a former hockey player for the Panama hockey league and his mother as a scientist. When Ronan was only in 2nd grade, he wanted to learn how to ice skate after watching the ice skating Olympics. He struggled a lot in his first rink time, he would hold on the walls and he would be too nervous to accept the fact that he would fall the first few times until the hockey coach for his elementary school came up to him and gave him some advice. “Let the ice be your friend, not the enemy” is something Ronan will never forget after succeeding in mastering basic ice skating and he was so happy that he decided he wanted to become a hockey player representing his country. He played every position except goalie but he could never find the right position for him as he struggled to score goals and swerve defenders away whenever he had the puck. He grew frustrated that he was tempted to quit Ice hockey during middle school. But one day, a professional hockey player was watching practice and noticed how Ronan was keeping good posture whenever he stayed in the back lines and eventually, Ronan would make some defensive highlights from time to time blocking passes from going through and even skating with the puck while having some decent passing skills. The former professional player was so impressed with him that he decided to give him some one to one training sessions during summer break. Entering high school, Ronan would become a day 1 starter as a defenseman and display his potential to cover a lot of ice and protect the goalie from potential shots being made. He felt that he was starting to finally understand who he was as a hockey player and he would later commit to playing as a defenseman after playing as a center for a few games. But Ronan faced many challenges along the way like how he was gonna manage his studies while playing hockey but luckily he had his family and friends to guide him along the way as he graduated high school as one of the first players from Panama to play hockey. Colleges from around the nation were sending him scholarships to play for their ice hockey team but he couldn’t decide what to do with his life after high school. So he decided to take some time off and take ice hockey training classes in order to improve his game as a defenseman. As his career went on many scouts from the VHLM league kept tabs on him during his training days and they were impressed with how he is able to handle the offensive side of the defensemen line and some teams even started making calls to him. He was offered a lot of contracts from the VHLM league to start in their squads as a defenseman. He was blessed to be offered as a high school student. But he couldn’t decide which team to sign with so he decided to scout the league and see what each team has to offer. He found out that some teams will be giving him more playing time than others. And there were some teams that were winning more games than others. But that didn’t stop him from deciding which team to join since all he cares about is improving his game. Eventually, he decided to sign a contract with the Mexico City Kings giving him the chance to step into something even bigger. As Roman Amnon was entering the Mexico City King’s press conference room, Roman Amnon was very nervous about meeting the general manager and head coach for the first time. When JCarson entered the room, Roman Amnon felt like he was sweat from the nervousness he was feeling but JCarson gave Amnon a friendly smile and said “I’m pleased to have you on my defense lines.” and they both shook hands. The head coach came in right after and said “I’ve heard a lot about your game on how you became the first Panaman player to ever take interest in the game of Ice Hockey. I’ve been keeping tabs on you ever since you joined the training academy back in your hometown and I was very impressed with your ability to approach the offense as a defenseman.”. Cameras started flashing and reporters started surrounding the room and Roman Amnon wasn’t expecting to gain that much popularity in one day. One of the reporters asked Roman Amnon “What is it like to meet the general manager and head coach of the Mexico City Kings for the first time?”. Roman Amnon chuckled and said that he felt honored to meet them and he held up his new jersey smiling at the cameras. And a new chapter in his career officially began. 836 Words

Last season, The Mexico City Kings finished the season with a record of 25-40-7 which ended the team finishing in 4th causing playoff chances to shatter. As the playoffs were rolling, the general manager of the Mexico City King was thinking what moves he should make in order to improve the team knowing he was gonna lose some players to the VHLM draft. The players that were still on the team used the offseason as an opportunity to scout on players that were coming up in the draft and the general manager decided to try to bring all of his departing players back via the VHLM draft. All of the players that were entering the VHLM draft were willing to stay with the Mexico City Kings and help them succeed next season if the Mexico City Kings had all the picks in the draft. On the day of the VHLM draft, the Mexico City Kings ended up losing one of their top players to the 1st overall pick. It was devastating to see Ashoka Tano depart from the Mexico City Kings after being picked by The Houston Bulls with the 1st overall pick. Even though the Mexico City Kings lost a very big core player from the draft, the Mexico City Kings were able to get the rest of their players back and even brought along Samsayz I-Smell who played for the Houston Bulls last season and Carl Ernhardt from Halifax to help bolster the defensive lines. When the media came to the practice facility to interview the returning and newcomers, everyone shared a common goal “To help Mexico City make the playoffs” and that’s what everybody wanted to achieve this season after struggling last season. The general manager of the Mexico City Kings also hired almost a complete group of staff members to help revamp the playbook and improvise everyone’s playstyles on the ice rink. The players in Mexico City soon got along with the new staff members and even went out to do stuff after practice like go to dinner and take walks to prepare everyone for the next season. When the S94 preseason started, the Mexico City Kings were already flashing signs that the team improved and everyone believed that the Mexico City Kings used the offseason and training camp effectively enough to improve from last season. The Mexico City Kings started the season undefeated and not only it shocked some of the players on the team but it shocked the league and the analysts that a team that finished bottom of the ranks suddenly jumped all the way to the top of the league standings. Everyone was wondering if the Mexico City Kings had a secret routine that made them dominate this season but all the coaches laughed it off and credited the general manager of the Mexico City Kings and the players for working very hard in the offseason. As the Mexico City Kings enter the deadline week with a record of 34-7-5, the general manager has been exploring potential options on how he can improve the lines in order to finish the season strong and possibly competing with Halifax from the Eastern Conference. 529 words

Mexico City Kings Press Conference Week

1. I am thinking of writing about how Mexico City improved this season after last season struggles. 2. I would choose rising VHL stars as the theme week topic for next season. 3. I would target some skaters if I was the GM for Mexico City because I believe we could improve on our scoring since our defense is playing fine. 4. I feel like my player could execute more hits as a defender while assisting the offense. 5. I have not really lived up to my expectations this season. I was expecting to play better defense. 6. I don't have a favorite team in any sports that i follow. -
1. I feel like my player's performance is kinda what I was expecting in terms of playing a offensive support role but not getting much on the board. 2. Helping the team play defense to get a winning record is something my player is doing well. 3. I'd like to see my player improve his offensive vision over the next upcoming games so he can help the defense play some offense. 4. I think our win streak will go up until 15 games where we somehow lose the next game. But as a Mexico City player, I think the sky is where our winning streak will end. 5. I don't see anybody as a bigger threat than another, I see every team as a threat in their own styles and anything could happen. 6. I would want the number 35 because Roman Amnon felt inspired by other sports figures that wore the jersey number 35 and wants to be a hockey legend who wore 35.

As the Warriors celebrated their gold medal achievement in the Junior Showcase Tournament, Roman Amnon felt like he had failed his family and his teammates back in Mexico City. But he was very happy that he won a silver medal with players that he got drafted with in the Junior Showcase draft. He got to experience with new teammates that aren’t with the Mexico City Kings and he got to understand how some players don’t have to play traditional roles in hockey like how defenders can play offense by scoring and controlling the puck more. Roman Amnon also adjusted to a coach that he has never met before and he was able to coexist with him leading the team to a finals appearance. During a press conference, Roman was asked on if he would be willing to participate in the Junior Showcase Tournament again if he was given the chance. He said that he was willing to return to the tournament while improving his game with the Mexico City Kings.

Mexico City Kings Press Conference Week ending June 2 2024

1. I believe Gavin Bebard will score the first goal in S94 for Mexico City as he is the most experienced VHLM player on the team. 2. Owen Two will take our first penalty shot for S94 and I believe it will go well that it will shock the goalies. 3. I believe Mexico City will have a total of 10 shut outs this season 4. I believe Mexico City will fall short of a playoff spot but I believe we will be having good fights with other teams in the VHLM. 5. Hunter s will have the most assists by the time S94 comes to an end 6. Samsayz will have the most blocked shots over the season 7. I don't think any of our players will win a VHLM award for the season. -

“With the 14th pick of the S94 VHLM Dispersal Draft, the Mexico City Kings select Roman Amnon, a defenseman from Panama!” When his name was called on draft night, not only he was ecstatic but he was excited that he was gonna be staying with the team that welcomed him with open arms as a waiver claim during the S93 regular season. There were some rumors that fans around the league were feeling skeptical about picking one of the lowest TPE players in the draft class over players that were better than him and a lot of people didn’t believe that Roman Amnon wasn’t putting enough work in his game as there wasn’t much of a rating change during the season. But there were other fans that were hyped about the pick because of his loyalty with the team and the chemistry Mexico City has formed in the locker room even though they weren’t the best team in the VHLM. Roman Amnon is also a first gen player alongside the other draftees that were picked above and below him which makes this draft class even more special. Now the questions that swirl around him are “Will Roman Amnon live up to the hype of his expectations in his first full season with the Mexico City Kings?”, “How will the general manager handle a very raw potential defenseman?” and “What does Roman Amnon bring to the dinner table?”. Roman Amnon may not have the same resources as the VHL pros, but he has his new teammates' backs and the general manager’s back whenever something goes south during the season. He has the training facility that the Mexico City Kings own to help him master his defensive game and build relationships with other players he’s not familiar with and coaches to build a strong cohesion on the ice. During the post draft press conference, one of the reporters asked Roman Amnon how he felt about the criticisms that he had received after he got drafted higher than most analysts had predicted. He responded with professionalism and said “I can understand that not everybody around the league approves their draft selection but I don’t let that bother my focus and concentration. I have the will to strive for even greater potential in the upcoming years of my career.” A few days after the press conference, Roman Amnon began to think if he said the right thing to the media because he knows that the media will use anything they gathered to their advantage. But his parents told him to not fret over it and just focus on getting practice every day during the off season. That speech gave Roman the juice he needed and he continued to put in extra work in controlling his puck dribbling and getting his defensive assignments done. With the regular season beginning again in 4 days, Roman Amnon has begun reviewing game film from last season and from other all time defensive greats and he jotted down notes on what he should work on and what he has achieved from his one week training camp session with the team. 521 words, using for PT week May 20-26.

1. I don't have a favorite meal of the day. I just eat when it's time. 2. I don't like to eat beans for some reason. 3. I don't eat at restaurants since my parents always cook at home almost every day. 4. I never had a cilantro so I would have no experience in knowing. 5. Depends on the type of day and how I'm feeling. 6. I have multiple favorites but I would eat ice cream more than most desserts now a days.
