Jan Hlozek’s extended season is not over yet. The Czech defenseman, fresh off victory in the VHLM Founder’s Cup Final with the Miami Marauders, has been named to the Team Europe roster for the upcoming World Junior Championship, but said in a brief interview that he was excited to keep playing.

“It’s truly an honor to be named to the roster. Team Europe has a long tradition of success in the World Junior Championships and I’m excited to get a change to continue that legacy,” Hlozek said from the team’s training base.

Some commentators have raised concern that @N0HBDY's roster selection could lead to friction within the camp, given that Hlozek is expected to team up with Druss Deathwalker @animal74, the Malmo Nighthawks forward who recently named the Czech blueliner, along with several other of the team’s members, on his “hit list.”

“Look, I’m a professional. I want to win, and unlike him, I know how to win. Hasn’t he missed the playoffs in both of his seasons so far? I’m a champion. Maybe he can learn something from me. But no, I won’t be looking for trouble, and we’ll try and work together to make sure that we leave the tournament victorious,” Hlozek commented.
