a new vhl team? (part 2)

Hey guys, it is me (again) matt, and today, I came up with a new (if we can say so) idea.

Do you all remember my media spot about a new vhl in Pavia? (if you don't or if you haven't readed it here it is)

Basically as that concept kinda worked and you guys kinda liked it, I choosed to think about a new vhl team and write about it. (just like the other media spot, i'm a lot original I know, no need to tell me).

 

Now you should be asking, where are you taking us? In France? In Spain? or maybe in Asia, in countries like Vietnam or Korea, or maybe in south America, In Brazil or Argentina.

Well are you ready for the answer? (you will probably be disappointed)

 

We will be staying in Italy, but where?

Well today we will be going to Ravenna.

 

Let's start with the basics.

 Ravenna is capital city of the Province of Ravenna, in the Emilia-Romagna region, in the Northern part Italy.

The city is located next to the Adriatic Sea, wich of course gives to the city beautiful beaches.

The story of this city is very important to Italy and also europe, becuase in the last year of the roman empire this city became the capital, as it was really easy to protect thanks to the nearby swamps( shrek meme intensify), but it will also be important after the fall of the roman Empire as, when Justinian the first, the emperor of the byzantines, took over Italy, this city became the new capital of the italian province (not the capital of the Empire, the capital was Costantinople, Istanbul nowdays, a city that was way better than our protagonist, Ravenna) the last impotant thing about this city is that it was the last city where the famous father of italian literature, Dante Alighieri (the writer of the divina commedia), lived in.

(this time i gave you guys a lot more of fun facts about this city lol).

 

Now, like last time i will put some photos, so you guys can get an idea of how the city looks.

So now that we know a little back of the background of the city, we will now talk about the name of this team, you guys know and you will have probably guessed that the name of the team will be related to history, and if you thought about that, well, you are right, congratulations!!!!

The name of the team will be:

 

THE RAVENNA BYZANTINES

 

As you guys will remember i've already talked about the byzantines, but why I chosed this name? Why didn't I name them the romans? the romans are way cooler and have way funnier history.

Well the answer is really easy for me, yeah the romans were there, but they didn't really leave a mark on the city of Ravenna like the Byzantines did.

When the Byzantine conquered the town, the city was destroyed and there wasn't really anything good, but, thanks to the hard work of the people that lived there and also thank to the help of the empire, the city grew more a more, untill it became one of the most important cities of the World ( I'm talking about the world back then so Europe and a little bit of Asia and Africa, America still had to be discovered).

And of course as the city grew more and more they built very important monuments that are still there in our days, and still make Ravenna an important city to visit if you are in a vacation in northern italy.

I hope you liked it, but, as we are talking about arts, why not talk about the colors that the team will wear. (this transiction was really good don't lie)

The answer can be really stupid if you know a little bit of history of the byzantines, but if you don't know it, the colors of the team will be:

*Yellow/gold

*purple

The colors of the byzantine empire. (really stupid I know, but to be honest i really love that colors and they would fit really good on a hockey jersey)

 

So this is it, I hope that you guys liked it, and i really hope you didn't fall asleep during my mini lesson about byzantine hisotry, I'm sorry but I really love history and I can go on and on talking about it.

I hope to see you guys in my next media spots, I'm really sorry if this work was bad but i really put a lot of effort into it as creating imaginary hockey teams is a thing that i really love to do (even if most of my ideas sucks) , I hope to see you all in my next media spot, and of course, have a good end of the week.

 

 

1,016 words if I'm not wrong. (yay, i finally made a media spot that is longer than 500 words, I'm really proud of myself, even if this media spot isn't that great)

I'm really sorry if I always talk about little cities in Italy that nobody cares about, but as an Italian, I really want to show that Italy isn't only Rome, Naples or Milan, but also other small cities full of history and art.

LIke The USA or Canada in the end, in the usa we can't only find New York, Los Angeles and Miami, but also other cities that are less known, just like Canada, In Canada there isn't only Toronto, Vancouver or Ottawa, but a lot of other cities.

I hope you guys understood my message and didn't find it boring, like my media spot.
