Alex 3,267
The race for The Alexander Chershenko Trophy for the most goals in the VHLM is turning into an interesting one with 2 goals separating the top two, and only 9 goals separating the top 4. The goal scoring race has been pretty close all season long between Baldur Poulson @GlowyGoat and Tyler Reinhart @Zetterberg. however the pair are trailed closely by Griff Mackenzie @HoneyBadger25 and Alex Johnston @Alex_J32 who both sit 9 goals back of the lead and given their recent play the pair are certainly within reach of the lead. Over the course of their last 10 games Baldur Poulson has done their best to hang onto their lead scoring 10 goals in their last 10 games, keeping them just short of a goal per game over the course of the season. While Poulson has been very consistent Reinhart's play has been anything but, slowing down a fair bit recently scoring only 5 goals in Yukon's last 10 games. Reinhart's recent play has allowed Poulson to take the lead, luckily for Reinhart is that they did have a sizeable lead before this recent stretch, putting them only 2 goals back of Poulson. Further behind the two front runners are Griff Mackenzie and Alex Johnston, both sit 9 goals back of the lead both with 18 games remaining. Over their last 10 games Mackenzie has recorded 6 goals in their last 10 games, just narrowing the gap to Reinhart. On the other hand Johnston has been red hot scoring 12 goals in their last 10 games, quickly closing the gap on the front runners. Needless to say this race could be very interesting and it should be very close down the stretch, and is by far the closest race of the major scoring titles in the VHLM as Kikko Moskinen has a 5 point lead in points, and a 5 assist lead.
