Aberg has finished his first VHLM season with Ottawa Lynx and sure - it wasn't the most successful rookie season, because he picked up -43 and only 47 points, but he gained really important experience. He was signed after the draft, that's why this off-season will be double important because he will have to attend the VHLM draft and also the VHL draft.

Training Principles to Build an Athletic Body - AskMen

Aberg is a bit anxious about these drafts because they will impact Omi's future and where he will be playing. Aberg is getting ready to attend multiple pre-draft camps, to show around to other teams in VHLM and VHL. He is determined to train this off-season with Oh Sens, Riga Reign forward, who has decided to retire this season. Sens has played in VHL multiple seasons and has always been his team's one of the leaders. He spent most of his season in Toronto and he sees a lot of himself in Aberg. They will be training in Japan and they will be practicing on ice and off-ice. Sens has always been known for his quick skating and unbelievable balance, and hopefully, Aberg will be able to pick up a couple of things from the Sens game and improve his own game. This season in Ottawa has been pretty difficult too because their starting goalie sadly disappeared in a field of corn and no one can find him anymore, that's why Lynx has gone into mourning and they are hoping to find a replacement this season. Oh, Sens in his career has had a lot of disappearances too, like Andre LeBastard in Miami Marauders in his first 2 seasons. Andre was a captain and a part of Marauders team and name, but he went into that scary field and never came out. Sens will have some words of encouragement and some tips to make Aberg be stronger physically and mentally.  Omi is quite old but he still is trying to find ways to improve himself, even with most small details, those other youngsters could ignore, Aberg wants to do them perfectly because there are all the right people around him and they know what VHL and VHLM teams will want for him. Young kids may think that they only care about statistics and how good physically you are, but actually, there goes much more in - how good of a teammate you are and if you are easily coachable, but those are things, that you can't really impact it, because that is how you are taught hockey and how you are. Aberg is trying to change things that he can change, so he is one of the only prospects, who is working with a psychologist, who helps Aberg settle up his mind and get ready for his big moments. It really helps him concentrate on the game and maybe that's why Aberg sometimes is even better in tight, stressful game situations than calm and not pressured situations, for example, early in the game. In his career, he will have to learn how to balance these things, but Aberg is looking really good for the short career that he has had already.

Damn fields of corn. Fun read. I liked how you connected your ''last'' player into this story. Also, the psychologist part at the end is interesting and something you hear more and more from the real sport as well, so nice touch! The picture fits the theme.

One suggestion for improvement could be to add some spacing as the current format has a bit of a ''wall of text'' vibe to it.
