When I applied to the Halifax job I wasn't really expecting to get it. I knew I'd be up there in the list of names but I didn't think I'd be chosen. When I found out I was absolutely shocked. Now here's the thing: the way I found out is a little funny. I was sitting in a restaurant waiting for others to finish up. I took a quick look at my phone and saw I had a discord message from Rory with the link to Halifax which instantly made it click in my mind "oh I got the job" because I knew Rory wasn't just going to send me a link randomly. I quickly logged on to my vhl account to see the posted announcement that I had in fact been hired. A smile quickly emerged on my face. As word spread to friends the congratulations poured in. Those were moments of pure joy from me to see so many people so happy for me. Today I got to work. Mainly focused on revamping the locker room and adding my touch to it while also getting to know some of the people there. I can't wait to really get started with this team and see what great things we can do.
