Well... Toronto hasn't been up to anything, literally nothing has happened in the locker room since the end of the regular season other than maybe a post or two on our Discord. Sure enough teams' who've been eliminated tend to enter a hibernation of sorts, they're all doing their own thing of course but for Toronto it seems to be a breather from the VHL... and that includes myself, in the nick of time I reckon, as this historic heatwave burns a swath through Southern Alberta and a large chunk of British Columbia.

My room alone has reached 45c or higher four days in a row, I measured with an outdoor thermometer, and while I essentially live on the second floor with no A/C to speak of I have been fortunate enough that the main floor has a portable A/C I can crowd myself and my two dogs around to cool down for a moment. So why was it fortunate that Toronto is just quietly flowing with the currents? Well I've kept my computer shut down for the majority of the afternoon -- when it's the hottest in my room -- and only turn it on to play a round of this or that game, typically check my DMs/PMs here on the forum, but Toronto doesn't require anyone leaning over and constantly righting the ship at this very moment.

This heat? It can fuck off.

Toronto? We're on vacation.
