Omi Aberg pre-draft interview

Omi Aberg, one of the hottest youngsters in this year's VHL and VHLM draft has recently arrived in North America and held a press conference in which he answered multiple journalist questions. Aberg was asked about his rookie season with Ottawa Lynx, also about his future and other interesting stuff.

Omi Aberg at the start answered a couple of questions about his rookie season with Ottawa Lynx, he told, that Lynx GM Dakota Lamb is one of the most professional people that he has ever worked with (well, his first staff too) and said, that he wouldn't be surprised, that he would become the new Warshaw Predators General Manager because he is that good. He also described his first season in the league as a fun, new and challenging experience, because he had to adapt to a quick and young VHLM game style and he is grateful, that he got to meet so many new people, that he will love to play with and against in the future. He thanked his captain Bogdan Trunov, for keeping the team in line, and even though Ottawa didn't get in playoffs, he would love to return there next season.

 

Later he answered some questions about the draft and he told the media, that he doesn't have a team, that he wouldn't want to play in, but he also expressed, that he would love to return to Ottawa next season. Obviously, he can't really choose his next VHLM or VHL team, because he is getting drafted, but he loved playing in Ottawa this past season. When he got asked about VHL, he told that there are a lot of nice teams and he would love to play in each and one of them and his main goal in his career is to help his team in whatever way he can. Omi Aberg is going to be picked in VHL and VHLM drafts in the same season. It is going to be fun off-season for him, and probably a very busy one too. When asked about pre-draft interviews Aberg said, that he has already had few interviews, but nothing too big. He expects for it to pick up few days before the drafts. He said that he will attend the drafts live, and he will be attending some pre-draft workouts to show around to a couple of teams. Aberg is going to be hot property, that a lot of teams will be going for.

 

The last part of the interview was about his future, he told that he has been working with Oh Sens this summer and it has helped him to turn his work into 6th gear and he has been really happy with his progress. He doesn't want to go for the hall of fame or some huge stats, he just wants to be the hardest working player on the ice and he will leave absolutely everything on the ice every time when he steps on the ice. Omi Aberg wants to do everything so the name Aberg means hard work. He is ready to prove it to everyone, starting now!
